You guys SERIOUSLY need a regular meeting spot and time!!!

It avoids all this BS and missing stuff. Just pick a time and book other crap around that.

I hit spinning DLO beesauce today. That was my only highlight.
Adam was going OFF! Every time he touched the bag he would bust a sick 15+ bothsided shuffle!!
Josh was also playing well, though this is like the first time I've really had a session with him, so I'm unfamiliar with his game. He hit a bunch of new stuff, and his style is very very smooth. He makes spinning look really fun!!

Oh Adam hit janiwalker! What else...a Johnny combo, tombstone > far symp swirl! Also had quantum catwalk > blurry whirl > far symp swirl roll off (was that the combo?)...

I filmed for just over an hour and probably got some good stuff. I might make an unedited video with it. I kind of lost the jive to work on my KICKASS video. I sat down to start the next section last night, but it turns out that the perfect song that I'd chosen doesn't go to the shred :( So now I'm bummed and need inspiration and then a good song.

I had a really bad leg cramp at a very inconvenient moment tonight; definately played too hard. I haven't had one of those for a while. I used to only get them at tournaments when I would push myself to death, but now it happens so much easier because I barely play at all.

I made a brief video just now after walking home from getting a couple things from Shoppers. It's my first time recording video with my new digital camera, and it's my first time using Windows Movie Maker ('cause Premiere was doing weird things...).
It's a little uneventful, but it's all pants shred and I hit gyro DLO both sides really easy, which was neat. (Oh...I'm not sure why the second clip is slowmoed...)

http://www.hackrifice.com/shred/temp/06 ... opping.WMV

(The first clips are just behind a well-lit building just North of the corner of Spadina and Queens Quay, and the second is at the bottom of stairs leading up to our condo complex...place...)
EDIT: Oh, it's also crappy quality, but only 2 megs!

Thanks so much for the kind words after the Sunday night session, Erik. Coming from you, "very very smooth" means quite a bit. I hope we get the chance to play again soon!

I don't feel like I played all that well that night, but being sick and sore, I didn't expect to, so at least I wasn't disappointed!

Adam has some stuff, doesn't he... Having him around so much when I started playing really got me off to the right start, without creating a carbon copy of his style and preferences.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks, and let everyone know that I should be around this weekend. We should make plans!! Bye for now FAT!

Tommorow is going to be one of the last warm days of the year, and I'm going on a walking tour of downtown Toronto to solo shred wherever i can find lots of people to watch me. 8)

Leave message here before 8 in the morning tommorow if you want to come.

And I will also hit a new 5>5>5....something that involves Ripped Warrior>Flip stepping or spinning something. :P

Hey Guys!

I'm really sorry I haven't been around in a while... I've been super duper busy...

GAH! LIFE!

It's so good to hear you guys are playing often and hitting cool stuff and being funny! Mike, that photo of us on the street that you photoshopped was friggin hilarious! :D

The other day I saw some hackers playing on the street at Ryerson, so I went up to play with them. Right away they knew my shoes were footbag shoes even though they were unmodded lavers and they had already checked out the websites. When they noticed that my hair had traces of pink they were like, "OH NO! YOU'RE THAT GIRL!" They had heard about me and seen me playing at school recently... Haha, I felt like a superstar. I had apparently already played with one, this guy Andres, at weed march a few years ago too. Anyway, they are really cool guys and want to get more into freestyle, so expect some more members! Andres is already learning some decent tricks.

We've also had several new members to FAT through .org, but I haven't had the chance to email them and welcome them. I feel really bad about that, but school has really taken over my life lately! I guess that when I get the chance next week I'll construct a welcome email for new members. Does anyone have anything they want me to include in it?

Anyway, I'm making a short film (one of many) for one of my classes and I want to incorporate footbag! So do you guys think you could play for my camera with me for a little bit this weekend? It doesn't have to be top-notch shred, just a few cool tricks will do.... I had intentions of filming on Saturday and Sunday, but now it's supposed to rain, so it seems that Friday is the only good day. The thing is, I want to do it in the beaches, in front of the olympic pools, so it has to be early. My main actor works in the beaches at 3, so I'm hoping to get the footbag scene in around noon (or even earlier if you guys want). If you guys can't make it, no worries, I'll just play alone... I guess. But try to make it! Sorry to totally interefere with your downtown tour Adam, but you can always do it after, and why not start in the beautiful beaches? :P

So who's interested?

Loving and missing you all,

Camille

P.S. Josh- I saw Nicole at Chapter's today! I didn't know she works there! Andrew does too- I was meeting him for lunch! We should go on a double date sometime! :P

Nice Camille! Way to get recognized!

I'd come play at the Beaches friday, but I have to work. I'm up for a session on saturday if anybody wants to - either at the beaches or wherever. I'll have to take it easy though. I'm only just getting better from my chest infection.

I hope everyone is well!

I can't make it this morning, sorry, I'm working... at the Restoration Hardware right beside Chapters! Camille, that double date sounds like a great idea, you guys are good people.
About the welcome e-mail, all I can say is, DARN! I would have done that myself had I though of it! If you want, I will, very soon! I've been playing alone so much, and am eager for some fresh blood (along with all you guys' not so fresh blood!!).

Anyway, it looks like I'm free for some shred tomorrow (Saturday). Is ANYBODY DOWN? Maybe like 1-2? Where depends on who speaks up, hehehe!

Okay so today is not looking as nice as it said it would. It's only 6 degrees! IT was supposed to be 12... that's a bit too cold to play in the beaches, especially since it will be colder down there with the wind from the water. Since I won't have much time to film anyway, and my camera person just bailed, I'm just going to say that today is cancelled. Sorry Erik! Thank you so much though. :)

It's supposed to rain tomorrow but I'm hoping the weatherman is wrong. If it rains, no filming; if it doesn't- I'm down for shred tomorrow! Preferably the beaches around noon... :P

This is one thing I hate about filmmaking- it's always last minute because it relies on too many things.

Sunday is supposed to be nice and I think it works with some schedules, so let's try for that for sure.

Sorry guys, I know I'm a last second slut. I really hope this works out and I see you this weekend.

That's too bad about today.
I'm sorry I missed your call too (I didn't get to bed until like 6 in the morning and then slept right through the day!).

I just finished with the best "recovery" session with Mike just now -- it was suuuuper fun. We're both up for tomorrow as it stands. Yay!

Ya that was fun Erik! It was tiring 'cause I'm not up to full strength yet, but I still have enough stamina for a Saturday session if there is one!

There's a session brewing for today.

I can't play very late so it looks like it'll be around 1:00 pm, most likely at the Bahen Center at the U of T campus, Queen's Park station.

I'm leaving my place at around 12:00. I hope to see some more people there; let me know here!!

EDIT!!! I FOUND MY CAMERA!! Thank god. Who wants to play footbag at the beach at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow? I won't play for long because I have much filming to do there, but I'll play for about an hour or so.

It will likely be kinda chilly so dress warmly... I won't need you guys to shred for tooooo long for the film, so you could like totally finish your session somewhere warmer if you want... I dunno.

So who's down? Sorry for the last minuteness and thank you in advance to anyone who's willing to help me out here.

Directions: Anyone's who's downtown can take the Queen St. streetcar east to Woodbine Ave. and walk south on Woodbine to the olympic pools (the big cement building right at the boardwalk). It's pretty fast. The other route is to take the subway to Woodbine Station and then take the Woodbine bus south to the pools.

Or bike.

Hey Langstaff, where in the city are you at?

P.S. This Christmas break I'm totally making a sweet ass shred video of you guys. If you want. :)

I work until 3:30.
I would love to go, and I actually could, since I will have to be awake anyway... A christmas video sounds awesome. I am going to be going home for the two weeks of Dec 21-Jan 7th.

If for some reason shred happens when I am available, someone please call me (I'll answer; honest!...or at least call back after work, or at a convenient time at work)

My bad for not answering calls again today...
Apologies to Josh and Mike; was there footbag today?

I'm right by York University. I literally have like 2 dollars to get around without cutting into my Go Bus fare, lmao. I was hoping something could happen around here but it isn't seeming that way... Mayyybe somehow I could come up with some TTC fare, but I'm not sure.
