Sunday session was awesome. Got there @ 12. Met up with 3 freestylers from France. I hit two 7 add moves.

I waited a bit for you Josh cuz i knew you were coming later, but I had to leave after a while without anyone else there, and the french guys left.

No more Pier sessions every sunday - just whenever we post, unless it turns out that way. Post if you wanna kick. I'm just gonna kick alone otherwise. holler.

No i didn't play footbag at the pier. I woke up after 6 hours of sleep and gt ready in 20 minutes and ran out the door to the bus with a yogurt in my hand. I was on the bus and train and bus for an hour and a half and got to Navy Pier at around 12:55.
At the spot I layed down using my coat as a pillow and read sitting with my legs crossed to stretch them out. After a little over an hour I went home. bus. train. bus. an hour and a half.

I posted about france and 7 adds to make people think they missed out. lol. but then the actuality of it is that last sunday wasn't planned well, so I can't be angry at anyone.

It worked; you made me feel liked I missed out. I wanted to hang out with french people.

Tim called me. We talked a bit but had to cut it short so I could eat. I told him Iwould call back but forgot. I've never known him to be so talkative, specially over the phone...

I'm going to U of I with Shawn and maybe Zeke tomorrow, so no sunday sesh in chicago for me.

I kicked almost every day this week. Just getting back into the habit. Brian came out yesterday! It was 70 degrees! We kicked at Welles. Really fun. Kicking with him next thursday too. There was a circle with Zeke, Josh, me, Brian, and later Al. It was so great to have such a big freestyle circle. It has been forever.

Brian was talking about updating the logo to possibly go on the arm of a long sleeve CIC shirt.

I have no problem with any logos but they all look like stock preset fonts and crap. Zeke could make better scripts and scan it in Im sure.

hey zeke,
sure that type looks good. but what does it have to do with chicago? chicago is a hub for graphic designers and typographers. chicago has a distinguished style of font... maybe you could go with something more personal to the city rather than a "city life" looking font. maybe something that looks offset and a little more grungier. printing off the type, adding it into a ball, erasing the ink on the creases, and scanning it back in makes the type look more "alive". just a simple suggestion.

i agree that you should change it to be more involved with itself, like the circle around the inner or something. but i know that those type faces were just ideas and you will do more work to them other than just type it up and leave it.

nice start!

Mike, check your PM's.

Wow, thanks for all the input ya'll! The main logo will still be this. I guess I should have explained that the text plays a supplimentary role and I don't want it to be flashier than the main logo, hence the boring typeface. I've never been a big fan of flashy display fonts... if it's hard to read then I think it defeats the whole purpose (no, not a big fan of graffiti either). I guess it is still rather boring and needs more development.

Keep the ideas coming!
Zeke

Thought this wouldn't neccesarilly be a good 2ndary font cuz it may not be readable, but how bout an actual circle? That could go on a shoulder like a mo. But other than that I think it'd be cool to have some swirly or jammed in chicago inner circle words into a circle, maybe not with a circular border or a border of zero, nah mean>

U of I Jam

Eric and Reid hosted Shawn and I at their college campus over last weekend. It was really fun. Ride down there and back was sweet and quick, because of shawn's good collection of stand up comedy.

We arrived, ate jimmy johns, then shred where people were playing ping pong. Shawnand I played like garbage a bit but maybe that was cuz of the car ride and our legs were tired/stiff.
Next day I played much better, and so did shawn. And it was hella nice outside. Well it was a bit cold, but we played outside and it was nice scenery at the quad.

Eric and Reid are so cool, and I'm glad I got this chance to spend a longer period of time with them chilling. I have felt sorta tight with them because i see them every so ofetn, but i realized that i never really chilled with them, and they are really awesome people. Not to metion really good at footbag. Eric is super consistenet and makes shit looks easy, and Reid hits nice variety and is fun to watch. And the thing is they say they're outta practice. Eric's girly played too!

We hit these parties on saturday. the first one was intimate but a lil dead, and then on our way out I introduced myself to some people at the place down the hall with the loud party and dancing and they introduced us to the person throwing the party. that was fun and we chatted some chicks up.

After we went to IHOP, and I asked for orange juice in a clean glass. I was just being silly, but then shawn and eric started tellning me they were gonna mess with my food. I was a little worried but drank my OJ anyway. Shawn suggested that the burnt piece of bacon was probably raked thru someones asscrack. LOL. Ten minutes later I asked our server, Dick, in a very serious tone, "Was this pulled throu someone's asscrack?" Everyone busted out laughing cuz they weren't expecting it. Turns out Dick's name was Jake, and some fat chicks were trying to mack shawn when he asked for their kethcup .
