Crossbody Sole Delay (Flapper)

Post by MatS21 »

Hi all, I'm trying to learn the Xbody Sole Delay set from the SS clipper, I set it good, get it on the sole but just can't delay it there, I feel like if I bend too much I ain't able to keep the sole in the good flat position, any hint on this trick? I find it's a cool trick and I don't think it should be that hard to learn once I'll catch the basics of it. But it seems hard to find information on those.

i like sole stalls. mine arent coming from a clipper but what helps me most is just making sure my sole is flat. not-so-broken-in-bags dont work to well. the pancakey ones will help you get started and get it down and then you can do it with any footbag you want.

again, this is what i do. im sure someone will tell me im wrong.

Thanks for the help, but are you talking about the Sole Xbody delay or just any sole delay? Because I feel like Sole Xbody delay is easier than the other one, I may be wrong. Should I learn to do a normal sole delay before doing an Xbody one?

And the thing I have the more difficulty with is to cushion the bag or bend my support leg cause if I do so, I lose my flat sole surface so the bag is falling down anyway. If you have any more idea for that feel free.

I play around with these a bit and find the best thing to do is set VERY LOW. That way the bag isn't coming down to hard when it contacts your sole. Therefore you'll be able to catch it easier. Bend your support leg some. To start with and get the feeling for them you might want to lean against a wall or counter so you can focus on catching the bag with a flat sole instead of keeping your balance. Hope those help.

(I've hit spinning flapper stall a few times)

Exactly what Tony said! Low sets and bigger/more broken in bags are perfect for sole stalls!

Thx guys, I've hit it twice, but I have one more questions, when I do the tricks I found out there was 2 way of getting my flat sole surface, the first is getting real straight and moving my foot the upper I can on me so I get a flat surface, but that way I have difficulty bending, the other way is getting my body down in front of me, that way I have a flat surface but a little far from my body in my back, but that way I can bend better even if I'm a little unbalanced ( maybe I won't be with work ). Don't know if you get what I'm trying to explain? And in your opinions what's the best way to positionate your body?
