Hey Erik, even though you selected shots based on camera work, you can still go over and adjust the brightness contrast levels manually, it adds an extra render step but you can smooth it out a lot and make it brighter. You can also tween the levels with keyframes if the cameras automatically changes exposure. When you make a dark clip bright it can get grainy, but at least you can see whats goin on really well.

Hey Erik, just saw the video today - it was very nice. I think that the music definitely sealed the deal for me. I'd like to hear even more music like this in footbag videos.
Nice job of capturing the spirit of the event as well - I wasn't there but I felt like I could've been.
