Hey sen, thanks for the post - I've been doing well. In fact, my university's football team (which for the past five years has been pretty horrible) won a game yesterday that will allow us to go to a bowl game! So that's pretty exciting. I also saw Borat on Friday, which was hilarious - but doesn't have much replay value I don't think. I think I judge movies pretty heavily on their replay value. My podcast is doing well - I recorded episode number 30 and it should be out sometime soon. I still haven't played footbag since I was in Paris, but I do get the urge to sometimes. Glad to be back around modified, even if it's only in spurts.

I actually shredded yesterday! In my beat up CT520s, which were uncomfortable to wear - but I'll be getting my new shoes sometime this week which I'm excited about.
The shred went well - went down to the basketball courts in my apartment complex and brought a basketball to shoot free throws whenever I got physically exhausted from shredding - which was too often, I'm really out of shape.
Anyways I worked on my clippers some, and hit a few tiltless strings, and was surprised overall by what I could still hit - but my stamina is horrible right now. That's alright though because that can easily be improved upon since I'm trying to lose some weight now anyways, and my stamina improves a little everyday. At the end of my sesh I ran some laps on the court.
Things are going well - studies are top priority right now and I'm doing really well with all of them, so that's satisfying.
Still trying to figure out if I can make it to the New Years Jam in Chicago - looks like I'll be able to, I'll just have to convince my parents to let me do it because I'm trying to also go to my university's bowl game, which MIGHT be on the 29th... so I'll just have to see. Anyways, that's about it.

Hey David, I'm glad to see you're still playing. I have applied to Cisco for a co-op and if i get it, which it sounds like I will. I will be in RTP, NC from March until August. Raleigh is definitely close enough for us to shred a couple times a week, so if your interested I'll let you know if I get the co-op.

Hey Aric - sounds good to me. I make it to Raleigh only a few times a semester but we could probably meet somewhere halfway and shred.
Anyways I'm doing well; got my Lavers a few days ago but it's been raining so I haven't shredded with them yet, although I'm excited. My G-Units should be here either today or next week.
I'm really sick and I probably couldn't shred even if I wanted to. But hopefully I'll be better soon. I'm excited about Thanksgiving Break coming up soon. I really need a break to catch up a little bit on my schoolwork. And I'm still trying to figure out how to go to the New Years Jam in Chicago. Might be able to work things out.

Played a little bit in my G-Units yesterday after a biannual basketball game - my fraternity (Phi Mu Alpha) vs. our rival fraternity (Kappa Kappa Psi). For the first time ever we won a game. We came out as losers: 2-1, but we still got a win and that was enough for us.
Footbag went alright. Shredded a bit but mostly hacked it around with one of my frat bros, Ben, who may or may not be interested in playing in the future. At any rate it was fun.

Finally played in my new lavers for the first time yesterday with my frat brother Ben, who now has a vested interest in footbag. He actually learned how to have semi-solid toe stalls, dragonfly kicks, and almost landed a one-sided mirage. Myself on the other hand... I didn't hit anything new (I should really work a new set... what set should I work? Stepping?) but I had a fun time. Looks like I now have someone to play with everyonce and a while, so that's cool.

Had a solo session tonight. My stamina is SO bad, but hopefully this week it will get a lot better. I have a feeling it will.
Among the highlights:
Clipper>Op Pickup (Rpt. on other side)
Weakside Clipset Mirage
Basically I made myself start every run with weak toe stall>weak clipper ... of course I dropped a lot but it's helping and I can tell it is. So I'm just going to keep doing that for a while. That's how I learned my weakside kicks and weakside toe stalls, so obviously it should work for my clippers as well. On my challenges page I was advised to work on wraps, so I worked on those for a little while. Basically I tried to work everything both sides, so it was very very slow. I also worked my flip pixie a lot. It is super weak but I imagine I will be able to train this leg to work for me (it's still ... "injured" from my ACL tear but I think it just needs to get used to being used this way... it isn't hurting or anything like that).
Went to a used bookstore today. Grabbed Sam Harris' "End of Faith," Philip K. Dick's "Man in the High Castle," and two more Carlos Castaneda books (I'm on the fourth now). Other than that I mostly have been studying Italian in my freetime and watching footbag videos, and reading for leisure.

Here's a few pics of a few parties we've been hosting:

Our first homemade liquor luge! The bottlecaps were my idea.

Inside the luge tunnel

Me yelling about something

Our second liquor luge

Taking a shot from the second liquor luge
And here's a pic of me smoking a Oliva Master Blends III Churchill:

Gettin ready for Chicago.

sweet pictures. that one where our drinking out of the liquor thing is hillarious... it almost calls for someone to photoshop it
btw. how close are you to raleigh? we have a buddy that went off to the airforce and after the holidays he will be stationed there with no one to kick with him.

Hey holly - my sleep schedule has been EXTRA horrible the past week and a half. I think it's because I'm back with my family for the holidays, and I'm used to being at my own apartment with my friends.
photoshopping would be hilarious. go for it, haha.
i'm actually IN raleigh right now, but after the holidays I'll be in Greenville, which is about an hour and 45 minutes away from my house in Raleigh.

Word Chris, see you as well! I'm getting really excited. I had a really good sesh today. I guess it lasted about an hour or two. I hit some new stuff, improved on some old records, and built up some stamina (hopefully).
New Stuff:
Mirage>Legover (Rpt.) - followed by a nice tiltless run
Flip Butterly
Alternating Clippers!! (Could only get clip>clip>clip but that's the first time)
Paradox Mirage Both Sides (No Plant and almost BSOS)
Flip Ducking Clipper
7 Goodside Rpt. Clippers, 2 Flipside
Footed Ducking Butterfly a few times
I had a lot of fun and it was a good time. I'm getting really excited for Chicago. My parents gave me a book on Chicago and a travel map for my trip. That's gonna be sweet; I'll probably try to go to a museum or get some good food if anyone else wants to go explore Chicago.
