There is a breakdancing event going on at Y.U on November the 17

here is some info....
Hey man just wanted to confirm if you're good for the show on nov 17th at york.

If so you guys get a solo section (just let me know how long you'll need)

and we'd like you to be part of the grand finale.

Here are the details on the grand finale just let me know if you are down with all of this:
Basically you'd be part of the grand finale which is going to be introduced by our beatboxer (Matt Rose) one element at a time:
so he'd introduce footbag as one of the elements and he'd let you solo your thing for a few counts.
(he's also introducing about 6 other acts including: ninjas, breaking, juggling, tapdancing, etc.)
Then once everyone has been introduced the DJ will play some beats and everyone will take turns getting 2 freestyle solo sets.

So you each get one set in the beatbox intro and two sets with the DJ spinning.

As far as the event goes here are the details for performers and stuff:
The event is on November 17th (Friday) from 6pm to 930pm. Performers are coming in at 545pm to get started with sound checks and setup. (there will also be a performer photoshoot) It's at York University's new building the "Accolade East Building" in the "Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre".
Here's a map in case you get utterly confused cause York is HUGE (I suggest give yourself some buffer time to get there):

If my new climas have arrived by that point, I'll be there. Do you mean that anybody who comes out would perform? I don't insist on performing, but if that's what you're talking about, I'm still in.

Yeah Mosher! I can get you gas money and place to stay! It isgoing to be exactly like the last event we did, all orginized by the same guy. The only difference is that underage performers are allowed this time!

seems that a... continuous lack of Climas (over a month since I ordered them)... is prohibiting my attendance for this event.

I guess I prolly wouldn't have performed anyway...

Don't worry about money Erik, the promoter of the event is providing that. I've called Matt and since it seems like no one else is going to be coming from out of town, I beleive everything is ready to go. Correct me if I'm wrong.....i'll post better details about directions and times tommorow.

Its open to all spectators at 8$ a person. Call me at 4164896153 or post here before 10PM thursday for a ticket, I'll buy one for you and you pay me back.

Super shitty map!!!

In any event, it is accurate. The red oval is where the bus will drop you off. The red square is the building in which the event is taking place. Once you are at the red square it will become very obvious where the event is.

What some people are thinking is that we have a little pre-shred or some such. For that I would call Josh or Camille, as I'll be in contact with them and they know their way around York. The best way to get to york is to go to Downsview and take the 196 or 106, or go to Finch and take the 60C. The pre-shred is whenever people get there, but most likely around 4:30.

I HAVE NO PHONE.

If you need to find me, call Camille......sorry for dumping on you Camille, but when I say everyone meet in Vari Hall at 4:30 you know where that is and will have a celli on you. This shall be crazy. I'm getting tickets for Camille, Andrew and maybe other people......if you want tickets post here before 1:00pm tomorrow.

No worries Adam, you guys can call me. 416-602-1985. I'm not sure what time I'll be down there at though, probably around 7. The doors open at 7 and the show starts at 7:30.

So if people get there before, and most definitely after, we'll likely play in Vari Hall (the "30" on that map that Adam posted) or in the building where the show is.

oh man!!! what a great time! I wasn't exactly at the top of my game from sickness, a fall before the show, and time off recently, but we were really well received and I had a lot of fun working the mic. AAAAND!!!!

greenwood and I have been invited to perform for YTV's The Zone, a national canadian kid's show / station (not quite clear on that) on monday! we're going to be on national TV!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAND!!

some people from a music production / promotion company here in TO want me to audition for them on Sunday! they loved me on the mic and on stage, and they think we can work together! What a day!

now I'm at Erik's apartment. Marita is cooking us pasta with homemade pesto and homemade bread. i was going to go out and party, but I've entirely lost steam, I think I'm just going to hang here.

yeah, not going anywhere.
