Dispite the fact that neither Jesse, nor Raven ever contacted me today, and considering the fact that Foxy did, letting me know he was too sick to play, I still had a fun small session with Caroline.

It turns out she's been playing a bit lately and, as with me, has been using footbag as an escape from the stresses of life. She's doing ok! Still pretty much where she was when we last kicked (or, more so, the time before that).

We'll just have to wait and see who turns up on Monday.

that is good news gareth.

Played footbag today 1st time in a long time. i will be playing more.

Saw the former world no 7 craig rowland and former world no 4 Dan jenson at the clubs tonight. Had a bit of a chat to them. have to probably play them next weekend in a tournament. They could so give me zero points if they wanted to.

Met a girl tonight. Her name is Nicole. I have a hot date with her. She is hot and she is cool (so far.) She asked me if i do drugs, i said no, which is a lie because i was on a pill as i was talking to her. She is anti-drugs me thinks, which is no problem, and i can function without drugs, i am rambling

bye

Hey, Thanks for your random sms, Hagesy.
It's good to hear you're still alive.

I might be heading up north on a road trip around Feb. Not sure how far north, but I'll let you know.
Also, we're planning on headding down south (as far as Melbourne, I believe) in the same trip!!! Should be a blast.

Thats awesome gareth, give us a shout out when you come up.

Ended up staying up for 35 hours straight. Played poker, had some beers, then drove home over the limit and very tired. I do some fucking stupid stupid stuff sometimes. Then i jumped on my bed and had the deepest sleep.

I need to find some money so i can message this girl. boss pays me today but it goes in my bank tomorrow.

I really want to play footbag right now but i have to go to gym and then work.

Idiot, Hagesy. Although you don't really need me to tell you that.

It's not that you could kill yourself, it's that you could kill someone else... a mother, a father... You get the point.

Turns out that we're only going as far north as Harvey Bay, and as far south as Sydney/Newcastle.

Planning on it taking about 10 days, but allowing for 14.

If you're after a kick/beer when you're in sydney post on footbag.org there's a pretty good chance I'l be free depending on the date/day/time and my work roster - we should really start a thread to organise kicks in sydney - i'll do that next time i'm there.

I assume that's if your filming schedule allows for it, Dyalan? ;)

But, seriously... I'd be keen for a kick. I was hoping to also go to Melb, but that won't be happening.

Had a great session with Foxy tonight. He's slowly getting his old form back, and I'm having some slightly longer runs.
I'm also damn close to hitting torque!!! I've just gotta complete the move more (I know what I mean).

Right now, I'm hungry and tired so I might leave this post with this.

Props on getting that bird hagesy
i miss ya bro

Gareth, best thing for torque for me is doing a really full spin. Dyalan and i tested it the other week and when i do a really full spin (well, full for a torque you know, like 270 degrees or something) i hit it very often, and when i only do 180 degrees or so i miss it very often. Hard to describe. Ill show ya when you come here

edit: or think of it like this. Look at the toe of your setting foot when you do the clipper set for torque (lets say set from right side of the body). it is pointing straight forward. when you complete the torque you want the toe be pointing in the direction that is 90 degrees clockwise from the direction your toe was pointing when you set it (or counterclockwise if you set from left side of the body).

Hard to explain

hey everyone
so many props to hagesy on the dancer girl
you sound like your head over
good job !

keep going onthe tourque gareth
its a pity you cant come to melbourne its bee n too long homie
but its good you can have a great holiday and play heaps anyway
osis tricks are just hard though
they are just there for ppl who are bored and feel like putting alot of effort in for less and less results
that said, when you see a guy hitting blenders tourques ect as though they were ripwalks and whirls, its very impressive
but i know with myself its always really obvious when i put them in on purpose, i have to make sure i do some of them rather than them finding their way in
acutally i have one blender that peeks its nose in

looking foward to nationals everyone

Well, Monday night's session wasn't very exciteing. No-one else turned up and the Piazza was closed, so we all moved to the 'Buskers Pitch', near the beach at Southbank. This ment absolutely NO music.
Oh well.
The lighting there is not the best, you've really got to be facing toward the lights so that you can see the bag, otherwise it gets lost in the shadows. So, I decided to just fuck around and see what I could do.

I do find that spectators tend to make me try harder, and I did have a few good runs every now and again. Not having anyone to pass off to left me tired early, so I ran to get a Snickers, a 'V' and a Gatoraid to get me through the rest of the session.
I ended up footing torque. My exclimation at the upward motion of the bag after my attempt had alot of people looking at me funny, untill I explained it was an 'almost'.
I also footed PS Whirl again. That's a funny move. I know I can hit it... I just don't know why I'm not getting the consistancy. Definately one for the video camera if I ever decide to pull that out again.
I'm actually wanting to play more frequently to get better, rather than just take stock of the fact that I'm (at least) playing.
I might give Raven a call tomorrow to see if he's able to meet up for a kick tomorrow morning. For some stupid reason I offered to go into work tomorrow night from 5pm to do some forklifting. Of course I'm hateing myself about now.
