Anyway, the reason I made my topic saying goodbye the other day is because after a week or two of just staying away from Modified, I felt so much happier about things. I felt better about footbag, and I was playing so much better too. It was kinda strange. Anyway, I realized all the time I'd been spending on Modified wasn't healthy for my mind, or my body.

Apart from that, it became harder and harder for me to read because of some of the people who I just felt weren't nice people. Thus, it became less and less enjoyable for me. Throw in the fact that I felt the admin staff was incapable of effectively running a forum about the sport I love, and I was ready to call it quits.

But what I realized is that the people I DO like on this forum, and ones I respect greatly would be the ones cheated. Anyway, like Sam said, only the Sith deal in absolutes. To say "I'll never post here again" is silly, I just honestly felt that I didn't want to anymore. I still feel that way to some degree, and I will be spending MUCH less time here. I probably won't post much at all except maybe a bag here and there, or a vid (If I can ever get up to making one).

I also have done things for the footbag community, and plan on continuing to do so. In the upcoming year, I will be HEAVILY promoting footbag, and I'm probably going to need the support of some people on here. To alienate myself from them would be foolhardy as well.

I can't let this place get completely overrun with jerks! I gotta stick by my soldiers!!! Lol, anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I look forward to kicking it with you guys in the future!

i frankly am suprised to see someone as young as you try to play the age card, fairy. im 19 and you certainly dont see me pointedly asking people's ages, like it will gain me some advantage in the debate.


but i do actually agree with dan, honestly.

im not sure how many people believe in your "cause." even if i had agreed with your ideas on censorship, you would have lost me when you made your point by doing the opposite. its a very risky move to try to point out other's flaws by enagaging in an extreme version of the behavior you find fault with. it can occasionally work, but definitely not this time. please dont fool yourself into believing that there is a large (or even small) group of people that support your outrageous behavior in this situation. there are a few that like you as a person or your previous track record as a member of the community, but that doesnt mean they think your method of trying to get what you want was intelligent or responsible. even half the quotes you provided in your first post in this thread were taken out of context (stuff like: "Yeah, I will really miss Chris, but his actions in this case were immature and clearly not the way to go about getting people to listen to you" -clearly a paraphrase of what some others said, but also what i think for the most part)

most importantly, dont think this means im all for the mods doing what they want or that i think the mods arent often hypocritical (i actually agree with a few of the examples that chris cited...), but again, you went about it all wrong, and made yourself look immature. dont you watch cartoon? the good guy always knows that doing what the bad guy is doing, even to make a point, or as means to a positive end, is just sinking down to his/her level. gosh, even like the power rangers understand that concept.

I had support on both sides of the argument. Chris's situation is no different and he has explained himself about the matter.

I don't endorse slander, but I do endorse using props to get a point across.

The most important rule ever decided about this forum was when Jeremy and I agreed not to allow an edit button in the Discussion threads. That way we all had to say what we meant and stand by it.
