Matt stayed at my house for a couple days. We enjoyed some awesome shred, and some awesome guitar. Here is Matt's first montage both sides, as well as some other wacky stuff (phasing same ripwalk??). Also enjoy one of his newer songs at the same time! :D

You have such an unique style. Footbag looks different when Matt Cross is playing :). But why this movie is "dedicated" for Norek? :D

hehe, this movie is dedicated to Norek because I think he is one of the most incredible, amazing players I've ever seen, and after I did montage, I looked to the camera, and said "I'm coming for you, norek!"

It's just a joke, because he's of the next generation, I will never catch him ;) but, he still inspires me to bust bigger, like Jordek, Davek, and Vasek. Thanks, Norek.

(all the best footbag players must end in "ek" now).

I haven't seen the video yet, so I don't know if this part is on it.

What a nice surprise, to sign on and see this! I will have to download it later!

thank you so much, cod. this is a wonderful compliment. In a sport with such prodigies, it's nice to still stand out, even though I'm not one of the best. [/code]

That we me kicking it once in the last frame! (First time I've made it to video on modified! Sniff. Sorry, it's an emotional moment for me.

It was great to hang with you while you were in town, Matt- and that was a 'cute' song. Or 'sweet'- depending on which word is cooler in your area.

Oh, and nice video Erik. But don't get distracted from editing the rest of your KICKASS footage!

Hey Matt man, crazy moves and music. Nice job on the editing Erik. Anyways Matt - loved the beatboxing transition to guitar + singing. Twas very good. Loved the dragon stuff and the montage bs. We'll have to get together to play sometime. (Both music and fbag)

Hey man, just watched the video and I loved it man. I'm normally not an acoustic fan but I enjoyed that song. I loved the calf rolls you threw in there. The raking was scrum-diddly-umptious as well. Keep it up.

yo, thanks. calf bump stepping (whipping) was pioneered by myself and tom mosher during a little swing by copenhagen we took on the way to worlds 05. Apparently, jorden had done it one time before, on a whim, but tom and I did it both sides with lots of different moves. For the record, tom was first to hit whipping op butterfly bsos, and I was first to hit it b2b.

the rev whirling "rake" (and attempts thereat) you see in this video are actually rev whirling toast (or, rev whirling gyro toe). the first person I saw to do this was ricky moran, who hit spinning far symp rev whirling gyro toe in E. Lovely's SJFF video from last year, or maybe the year before.

My ankle crank was always this way. Some of us are just lucky, I guess, although I have had to fight to clean my steps and my spins.

dave and gray, glad you liked the video! I like montage BS too ;) I'm glad the song could appeal to a non-acoustic fan. There's more to the acoustic guitar than kum-by-ya, as you see ;)

Great video. Thanks for making it Erik.

Matt I really like your style, it's fun to watch you shred. Your ankle crank is obviously superb, and all your whirling moves look badass. Especially ps whirl and pixie whirl. My only negative comment would be that your spins/gyro stuff looks funky, but it sounds like you're working on it. Steps looked fine to me!

Awesome stuff!
