Hi Modified. Few minutes ago I've accidentally invented a new shoe modification! It's preety easy and could be really revolutionary for those who has not so good ankle crank. Below you can see some pics. Tell me what do you think. I'm gonna try it on Tuesday!
Haha, I'm not so good in English but I try to write what is it about.
As you can see the tongue of the shoe is over the lace. That makes that in the place, the bag from the third picture is, we have a little wall which doesn't let the bag roll out. Let's change your tongues position and check how it works.
Oh I see now. I might try that and see how It works when I get a pair of Lavers or I might try it on my current shoes. Very creative though, does it work?

Maybe it's just me but I rarely catch the bag in the middle of Inside area. I often catch it next to the place with this Clipper Box. I know it's a bad habit because this place is a lot smaller than the middle of Inside. The Clipper Box makes it bigger so it cold help people like me. Or maybe should I just learn to catch the bag in the middle of the shoe . Nontheless, I'll try it tomorrow and tell you if it works.
Yeah... bad habit hehe. I roll off that way sometimes doing osis on flipside, but that's because I haven't worked my crank properly flipside, like I have strongside. More wraps for me!!

oh well its nice to see new mods, always...
but i guess its not that comfortable, especially if you lace tight. i was doing another mod, i was kinda excited when i played, look here:
as you can see i tried to flaten that area for clippers. in fact, it didnt stick well, and clippers were too uncotrolled, that i removed it, though it prevented some roll-offs. new mods have to be tested well to get used as standard.
I've heard of shoe-gooing just a little thin piece of plastic tubing onto the surface where you had your foam, Wumbo. I've never done it, but I guess maybe it'd be alright.
we don't want to get so hardcore into new mods that all your skill comes from your shoes... that'll just make for lots of bad form.
Although... I just thought about getting new players into the sport. it'd be alot easier if the sport were easier to learn, so maybe that'd make footbag into something bigger and more pupular. I don't think I want that either though
I'm just writing down my thoughts. not trying to shoot down anybody's ideas or anything.
Yeah. mostly I think that's an unnecessary mod and a crutch...
BUT
There are players who seriously struggle with crank. I think if it's clear you have physical limitations on your crank I would never dis anyone using this mod. And ultimately, it depends on why you play footbag. If form etc don't mean that much to you and your just out for fun, then definately do what you want.
