insole question
insole question
do you cut the insoles along the inside so it fits to the laver form? it blocks 1,5centimetres of the mesh (the part from the rubber to the foot). ive seen this on serges shoes, i wonder if anyone else does it and if it helps. sometimes the bag lands there.
I did this in the past, but since I have high arches I decided to stop, and opt for more support. But my current insoles don't stick out too much anyway, so it's no biggie.

I've always found problems in putting Spencos into G-units. The insole would jut out on the inside and makes for some discomfort in play. But by trimming the inner part of the insole, it left me with more awkward support for better playability. It also made my ankle rise further up, and made it much more susceptible to ankle roll-off. At least, this is concerning the Crosstrainer insoles.
People seem to do well with the Orthotics or the regular Spencos insoles with their moderate thickness.
I still use the stock insole for the G-units, trimming the inner portion just a bit, and I haven't found any problems yet. They don't seem to need anything more to help with shock absorption. Further need to reduce it seems irrelevant to me, but if you insist in getting a bit more, I would suggest in getting a durable insole with moderate thickness and good arch support to help with comfort.
