I was just thinking how awesome it would be to get tons of handheld footage of all of you guys to put together a Hackrifice 2004-esque DVD, including the KICKASS project...maybe even in the exact same black and white style I used for my 2004 video.
It would be ideal -- if you guys were interested -- to somehow come up with a trade-off filming strategy. I always tried to imagine how that would work...like in a big circle, passing the camera around. That kind of ruins the groove, though, and I hate that. Any ideas? There is nothing worse than "tripod" footage -- I don't even bother trying to edit tripod footage...I just slap together clips to a song. Maybe Camille, the video expert, has some ideas?
If it comes down to it I will sacrifice shred to film by hand a handful of sessions...but I would so much rather play with you guys (and be in the video :p)

I'm also seriously considering making a REALLY in-depth tricks-of-the-trade-esque video when I plan to refilm all the move demos at Christmas with my Hackrifice crew. Thinking of voice dubbing trick tips over multiple slow-mos and stuff...a DVD (or 2 (or 3 -- however many it takes)) of every single trick. This I would make a bunch of copies of and give to new players. Every time someone tells me they learned stuff from Hackrifice.com I'm so happy and surprised, and at the same time I feel really bad that we don't even have 2 add videos on there (or really REALLY bad ones with really bad form (me)).
Anyway, 2 sounds good to me.
I'm kind of sick so maybe I will have to just film -- that would work out.

I had some ideas on how we could film it without messing up the rythem of the circle.
- We could have one person as a designated camera man per run around the circle. So they miss thier turn, but it would go smoother in terms of footage and such. This person would rotate so in the end everyone has been camera man.
- Each player worth filming (everyone except me!!
) would say if they are gonna do something worth filming, then the person that went right before them would start filming. Im thinking that if we did it this way, there may be some extra pressure on players to do well, and that may not be good for the video.

Hey Toronto! I just wanted to personally invite you all to the event in Rochester on New Year's eve. Adam, Erik, Camille, Mike, Lackey, and anyone else I forgot, I (we) would love it if you all came. I really really enjoyed seeing you at KICKASS and I want to do it again. That event was so much fun that it is my model of what a footbag event should be. Company-wise especially.
Rochester and Toronto are so close together that we should be a tighter group of people anyway. It's going to be a tight-knit event... and those kinds of footbag get-togethers are often the best. Please let me know. I promise you won't forget it.

Chris: I would love to come out Rochester, but I think we (Canadians) will need our passports to get into the States any time after X-mas or something. I don't have one yet... Also, no one in FAT ownes a car 
so simple road trips are expensive for us. That being said, maybe we can work some holiday magic and figure someting out.

Oh, well I don't have a passport either, but I will be back home in Winnipeg shredding with my home boys at Christmas (expect some Hackrifice footage of Grant and Vandall!...(and Rory Dawson!)). Otherwise I would have loved to come...

Hey guys, starting January (27th?) you need a passport to travel by AIR across the border. But I'm pretty sure that you won't need one to cross the border by land or sea until 2008. So driving or busing it down could be an option for some. Is there gonna be a session this coming Sunday? Cause I may be down to join in if there is

I may see if my friend Cassy wants to come on Sunday, she seems to have the most potential in Oshawa that I know of so far, and I explained to her how cool I think the people in Toronto I've met are. I'm sure it'd help her to meet more freestylers other than myself. I'd also like to meet more people! So many of you that I haven't witnessed yet. Hopefully there can be a good turn out this weekend!
