Footbag Friends

Post by beenjammin »

I havent been able to play much footbag Lately (at all in fact) so Ive been getting to know my footbag bretheren better. Sometimes I get the feeling they dont like me. For Example, Earlier today I noticed jorden the destroyer Moir was logged on to modified, I found this to be unusual, so I shot him a pm wondering why he wasnt playing footbag. I waited for a response, but it never came! He must have rushed off to play some footbag. Now this isnt the only instance like this i have had, for I have been "heckling" footbaggers all day long. Its really a method of motivation, but I think some people have taken it the wrong way. you guys are great for the most part. I just want the community to know that I am here for support, advice, and any other thing i may be needed for. You guys are the only footbag friends I have, and for that i am grateful, so Why arent you playing footbag?

I definately try to stay outdoors and be active during the summer. I would much rather be biking or playing squares than sitting in front of a computer if it's at all possible. If not, there's modified.

As far as footbag friends go, my roomie is a footbagger and most of my current friends are footbaggers. I've been bad at replying to e-mails and PM's so I guess that makes me a bad friend. I'd like to think that I'm generally a nice person unless someone pisses me off then you are forever on my shit list. Second chances are rare. I have little to no tolerance for stupid people in my immediate vicinity. I think bad thoughts about them until they go away.

Hey Ben,

I did read your PM and it seemed very abrupt.
Like, I'm not allowed to be on my computer...?

Saw your injury post -- crazy! Really sorry to hear that. :(

No, I didn't actually 'run and play footbag' when I read the message (although I did have a filming sesh later, totally unrelated).

Man, you shouldn't get the feeling that people don't like you because they don't answer messages in under 12 hours. That's silly.

We haven't met before, but I'm sure you're a cool guy.
I hope people that PM me don't think I'm a bad guy because I'm slower to respond than most.

Get well soon Ben. Eat your Wheaties!

Hey Ben,

I'm sorry you're all couped and the thing that you want to do the most, play footbag, you can't because of your injury. I've been meaning to call Louis' cell phone to say hi one of these days, but I keep forgetting. Me personally I'm grateful that Jorden is present on modified, putting out new videos and offering input to people. He shreds a ton, I'm sure we don't have to worry about him slackin'

You should try getting into juggling or diabolo! Those are the like the two go-to sports for injured shredders!

Juggling!

Diabolo:

Another sport that I have a lot of respect for is competitive eating. Who knows, you might be good at it:

Take care,

Didn't he break his collarbone?

Juggling might be ok, but Diabolo seems a little bit out of the question with a broken collar bone.

You should take up stitching instead. :)

Stitching can have some involuntary slouching of your upper body when you least suspect it, so I wouldn't suggest that. I've had a lot of back problems whenever I do too much stitching.

Footbag friends are the best. They're the only people I can freely talk to. I may respond a bit harsh on some things sometimes, or joke a bit too much for anyone's comfort, but I'm totally a very chill guy. I'm just the type of person that's full of shit, y'know? :P Anyway, try to get better and focus on recovery. I tweaked my ankle some 5-6 weeks ago, and it's still a bit hard for me to play at my usual level. A broken collar bone is a much more serious issue than a tweaked ankle, so you deserve much more rest.

And yeah, I wish I could play more footbag too. :(

I sent you some challenges xain, plus i suddenly cant remember what im talking about. Stitching does hurt my back, plus my back is the most painful of my current injuries, although a definite diagnosis has not been established on exactly whats wrong with my back. Yes my collar bone is broken so those activities are out of the question. My new passion is racing power-assist chairs in walmart. Chicks dig that 8) Im not kidding either. 8)
