Thanks for the comment Jeremy! There was a good session today, delays were solid, well you know that feeling :) The two highlights were:

Pixie Paradon > Blurrier > Blurriest > Blurriest > run with Superfly BS
Whirr > Superfly

I think that this is my new triple dex record as well, good to know :) My shuffle was working too, I've hit Blubberman on two different occasions, and remember one long shuffle run to Blurry Whirl b2b > Blurriest > PS Whirl b2b. I worked on my Barrages, which suck. My flip Blender needs some schooling too, as I neglected it for some time. Shred30 practice went well, I run through it a few times and my best attempt was with 1 drop. I need to start working on my new routine, as Zocha Jam 2006 is getting closer and closer!

I attended a footbag workshop this weekend - I was there as a 4 Square instructor haha :) I had a killer time, there was LOTS of shredding, and I played pretty strong on the second day, hitting some new tricks and combos, like:

Superdeeduperfly
Superfly b2b
Torch-R-Rack BSOS
Stepping Whirl > PS Whirl (rpt) > run with Blurry Whirl > Stepping Whirl (rpt)
Blurry Whirl > Blurrier (rpt)

We had a Circle Contest, where I placed 3rd, after Norek and Kierpca - some awesome combos were laid down in the finals (in his last run, Norek hit Whirrx3 and Triple Pickup later on - sick! 8O ). Kierpca was throwing down as usual :) I played ok, but not good enough to beat those guys :D Ptaku also came to visit us from Kołobrzeg, it was nice to shred it up with him, especially because I haven't seen him for a long time. Thanks for letting me sleep at your place Norek!

Weekly session went well, Budzik and Paweł arrived to shred it up. We played for 2 hours, and everyone seemed to have a good day, as new tricks and combos were hit by all :) . Paweł hit Pdx Torque BS and Mobius BS, Budzik hit his first Beast - Whirlwind > Spinning Pdx Blender > Mullet (Props Budzik!), and I got a new drill and one good combo:

Barfly > Pdx Drifter > DDD (rpt)
Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Blurriest > Bedwetter > run with Blurry Drifter, Blurry Whirl > PS Whirl > PS Whirl and Superfly

I practiced my Torques and Blenders, and they suck as usual :) Blurriest > Blurrier (rpt) was kind of close, I think it's reachable. What else, I tried Frontside Fury and almost broke my legs haha, this trick DOESN'T seem reachable in the near future  Now I have to study, because all this shredding resulted in schoolwork piling up like crazy!

Session at the gym, only me and Goku arrived, but we still had a decent shred circle. Some new tricks and combos (actually those were all challenges from Gielnik :) thx!)

Quantum Blender (first try ever too, very surprising)
Double Blender BS
Dolomite > Shaft

I worked on Superflys some more, they are slowly getting easier. Some Blender practice too, as usual :) All in all, good session.

The thing is that tommorow I have my pre-exams, which will show me my vast lack of knowledge and prove that I should actually by studying my ass off instead of shredding :? Wish me luck haha. Tommorow I have Polish exam, the next day English, and finally on Friday History.

But at least I've got my driving license now! Yahoo :D

Phew, I'm done with my pre-exams, I guess they went ok, but there is a LOT of space for improvement :) I think I did best at English and worst at History, and it seems that there is even more schoolwork ahead. I hope I'll still be able to shred at least two times in a week. I've been doing some driving and it's cool (finally it is me who decides where to go :) ), even though I make stupid mistakes like going around in circles. We have a session tommorow and I can't wait to try out some stuff that I've seen in the latest videos :D

The session went pretty good, in the begginning I realized that I forgot to take any bags with me  So I juggled waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive. They were half an hour late, so I got the time to practice some stuff :) I watched the rest of the people in the gym, mostly the freestyle soccer guys - they're pretty cool, and one of them kept asking me to hit different tricks :) He couldn't understand why we're not jumping up while performing dexterities, so I explained to him that unlike them, we need some time to cushion and catch the bag, but we do jump up for example when doing flyers. Finally other shredders showed up and we could start playing. I remember one good run that started with Blurry Whirl b2b > Blurriest, and had Janiwalker > Blurry Drifter, Food Processor, Whirlygig, PS Whirl b2b and Blurrier in it. I also hit Whirlygig > Food Processor > Locomotion in the end of the session, but the bag went flying from my reach and Budzik cought it :) I'll try to hit it better next time!

Thanks for the comment Isilwar! I hit a dream trick of mine today - Clown Face :D The feeling od accomplishment was great. There were four players shredding today, and the session lasted for about two hours. I don't think any other new stuff was hit, but Paweł broke his Drifter record, hitting about 12 of them, and I hit 4 Spinning Pdx Whirls, which is also my new personal best.

The bad news is that I have a big Chemistry exam tommorow, and I suck at it :? Maybe I'll get lucky with some easy exercises. That would be nice.

Cod, I've hit Nemesis BS, Arch Nemesis and Clown Face :)

Ok, so I'm back from Zocha Jam, one of the biggest tournaments in Poland, and I must say that I'm very happy about how it turned out. I was a bit nervous if everything will run smoothly, but we managed to finish the whole thing without bigger problems. We, meaning the Polish Footbag Association of course :) That was the first time I was seriously involved in the organization of a tournament and I have to admit that it's a lot of work. I hope that everyone had fun and didn't regret coming to Wrocław :)

There were 6 people staying at my place, so it was kinda crowdy, but cool at the same time - lots of funny moments to remember  On the first day there were all Freestyle events, excluding Circle Contest. When I was called out for my eliminations routine it turned out that my CD was not working, so I had to improvise a routine to some music that I chose from DJ's tracks. It didn't go so bad, but of course my artistic merit was terribly low. Luckily I advanced to the finals and placed 6th with the same routine. Vasek was first with an amazing dropless routine, then Norek with a dropless routine as well, and 3rd place went to Gielnik who had only one drop, but after the time call :) Later we were joking that he is the only person that can hit a dropless routine with one drop :D Then there was Shred30, which went very good for me - I went dropless and only repeated 3 tricks. Later on when the scores were calculated, it turned out that the previous Polish Shred30 record (202 points by Bujo) was broken by Bujo himself (203 points), then by Kierpca (217 points) and then by me (228,75 points :D ) Of course Vasek hit a 260 something combo with his eyes closed, so breaking two hundred didn't guarantee the podium! In Sick3 Vasek hit Frankenstein > Whirlwind > Beta Fission, and that combo gave him 1st place. 2nd place went to Gielnik and 3rd to Kierpca. Unfortunately I don't remember their combos.

Then there was Most Rippin Run. I got through the first round, where I competed against Maciek Bujko, and in the second round I had to battle Gielnik (who is also known as Robot, since he doesn't get tired  ) I think our run lasted for about a minute, and when the tension was unbearable I dropped the bag and Gielnik advanced to the final :) The audience was silent when we were playing, and when we finished everyone cheered - that was a cool moment. In the finals Gielnik competed against Vasek, and he fought bravely for about 50 seconds, and then unfortunatelly dropped. The 3rd place went to Wiktor Dębski. Those were the disciplines in which I competed during the first day.

The second day was the day of the Circle Contest. The pools were made and shred began pretty quickly (maybe it felt like that because we were late :) ). I got to the finals after two tough circles, and played there with Gielnik, Bujo and Budzik. After we finished the judges said that it was a tough call between me, Bujo and Gielnik, but finally they gave me the first place, Bujo was 2nd and Gielnik 3rd.

Overall I think the tournament was a success - thanks to everyone who visited us! I hope to see you soon :)

Thanks Max! Today's session was very nice, I must have been on the flow from the tournament, because I really felt in control of the bag. Here are the highlights:

run with Scorpion's Tail BS and Spinning Pdx Whirl x2 BS
Blurry Drifter > Tomahawk BS
Blurry Whirl > Bedwetter BSOS
Alpine Blurry Whirl BSOS

Blurry Whirl > Blur > Tripwalk (rpt) > Blurriest > Blur > Tripwalk (rpt) :)

I shredded with Budzik, who hit Blurry Whirl b2b > Tomahawk b2b > PS Whirl b2b :D I think he had a bet with Wiktor Dębski who will hit it first haha  I worked on my DLO's a bit, and schooled Double Downs. I had a run with a lot of Barflys, DDD, Blurriest > Barfly > Barfly and a Blurrier in there I think - I felt almost like Cleaver

Ok, some new stuff I've hit recently:

Alpine Blurrier
Fury > Whirl (rpt)
Alpine Blizzard BS

We were doing a demo on a big football tournament in Jelenia Góra, and we had a nice session afterwards. I had the shuffle run of my life, it was cool. Pretty much nothing else to report, I think I'm going to have a solo session tommorow and prepare my new routine to this kickass song I found, it's going to be fun. Maybe I'll try to hit some things I've seen on the latest vids :D

Thanks Mathieu! I didn't have a session today, because the gym where I shred was taken, so instead I had a sweet 2 hour juggling session! I played some music in the background and had so much fun :D I even learned some new tricks, one of them is holding one of your arms high and throwing the bags up there, where they are beeing switched - well you can see it on some vids of Jorden (Park Session) - cool stuff :) So shred tommorow, and now I think I'll watch some more videos. Or eat.

Few sessions ago, Paweł brought a huge list of drills with names with him, I think it was here on modified as well. Since then we're hitting drills from that list every session, with the goal of getting them all done :) It's pretty cool, because you try stuff you would never try in regular shred.

Some of the drills that I was very happy about hitting were for example DLO > DSO (rpt), or Barfly > Swirl (rpt). I also hit some drills that weren't on the list, like Tomahawk > DLO > Whirl (rpt) or DLO > ss DLO (rpt) - proud about that one, for a second I felt like Kevin Regamey :D

I think that drills are really good way of getting better at footbag and expanding trick and links selection. Basically, it's the only way :D I think I read somewhere a post made by Lon Smith, who said that he got to his amazing level only because of drilling hard.

To be really good, I would have to devote most of my time to practice, and it likely won't happen. I think, that the best thing I can do, is playing with a clear mind, trying to not desire if it's possible. Because you always have to pay somehow for what you gain, and everything evens out in the end. I guess

Christmas are getting closer, it's going to be great. Some free time, not going to school, looking good :) Well, besides the moments of the pure joy of studying
