Hockey is quite the shit, I love watching on tv, it would be awesome to get to go to a game, im planning on it soon though.

It's sad, because I have no will to play hockey, I really just watch the Leafs lose every year. When I get to go to the games, I absolutely love it though, plus the players are all really cool.

Woo, a hockey thread! I'm definitely a hockey fan (watching and playing), so much so that at one point last semester, Ken told me to cut back so that I could play more footbag with the club.
My comments ont he thread so far:
Hockey is definitely best live, and as close to the ice as possible. If you can't afford NHL tickets, I recommend trying to go to an AHL, NCAA or Major Junior game.
The Penguins are a great team to watch this year. I saw highlights of two Sidney Crosby goals on plays of the week yesterday that made my jaw drop. To have two goals like that in the same week is incredible. Plus, I hear that Malkin isn't too bad either...
Jay, that's an impressive hockey family.
Lastly, anyone who likes watching hockey should learn to skate and then try playing, because I guarantee it will be worth it. I would pick playing hockey over watching hockey any day.
