Oi I love Coheed and Cambria, they are fantastic and I love them (and if they were a woman I would marry her and at our wedding we would dance until the sun rises and our children will form a family band and we will tour the countryside and you will not be invited!) however I'm looking for some other interesting bands, preferably rock, hard rock, indie rock, emo, maybe soft rock but if I hear one ska band I'm gonna kill someone.

yeah, coheed's a really unique band.
Mike park has alot of good acoustic/ska songs... haha, just fucken around
MY favorite metacore band is All That Remains, uh the postal service(electronic/emo) has a lot of cool sounding songs, i cant really think of anything that would stand out that much to me.

I just saw their new video "Welcome Home' and I was very confused. They're going in a metal direction. I'm not complaining though. It sounds pretty good.

I never really got into coheed. Something about the singers voice just REALLY turns me off from that band!

If you are looking for some good indie style rock id suggest checking out bloc party, kaisers chiefs and kasabian. Those are my two faves right now! Not sure if that is defined as 'indie rock' but I dig!

Yep yep yep C&C are really cool, they are a little different though.
' Everything Evil ' is a pretty cool song, and so is 'Welcome Home'

Well talking about being trully obsessed, I have become a coheed freak.

The story behind the songs (its actually an epic science fiction story) has sucked me in. Really recomend them, just to try and broaden your tastes.

i 100% agree, they have some goo driffs on guitar, but i cant handle the fact the avril lavigne would almost sound exactly the same trying to sing there songs =/

His voice isnt high all of the time, its due to the point of view the song is being sung through, which happens to be a girl alot of the time.

there definately not emo, emo would mean they write lyrics about killing themselves, have ridiculous haircuts, were very feminine, wore makeup, listen to hardcore, or emo bands, where skin tight clothing, have those ridiculous haircuts, and always write in there diaries about how there parents dont get them, and slitting there wrists, i know this for i was in a hardcore band for a couple years, and they would always come to our shows

they are definately not emo

more like modern rock

Well, the last time I posted in here was well over a year ago and now I think their last two albums are great. I don't like all their songs, but the ones that are good are really good. Emo? Whiners? Whatever. It's progressive rock. You can hear a lot of influences from Rush, Led Zeppelin and even a little Maiden in some guitar harmonies. I'm really looking forward to their next.

Their first album does suck though.
