ya, from that same session that pascal posted about on tuesday night,

my highlight was paradox mirage bsos,

but im glad we didnt play foursquare first, cause the shred was good, until we kind of got pushed to the corner cause fieldhockey was practicing,

when we went into the hallway to play foursquare i got real tired suddenly, cause of the lighting i guess and ive just been real tired since the tournament,

hopefully we will have a couple more good sessions before the end of the semester, since its almost over

we played thursday night, but it was just pascal, ken, and i, it was a good chance to play, we started a club record list for each trick, i'll post it online eventually, after footbag, we went to eat wings, then i went to the library, captured some more video, and added music to the rippin' run, here is the link to that vid, i posted this in the vids section too

Rippin' Run

friday, i had to go to work which was alright, than i went to some house party some coworker was having, it was fun,

i didnt get a chance to post it till today, saturday, im at the library trying to do work, but i feel tired, so i think i might go eat something before its time for shred at 5pm

ken wanted to work on some more video stuff, so we might do that today too, ill try and get the rest of it up soon too, sick 1 is already edited, but i havent even looked at the circle footage but ill try and do it soon[/code]

We just had a session this evening with Luis, Ken, Nick and I. Overall it felt like a low energy session. However, there were several highlights, including

14 infinities
6 osis
flip eggbeater (on 2nd try ever)
toe set reverse eggbeater
toe set torque > legover
A run with blur and atom smasher

I also came really cose to hitting double switchover. Also had some nice guitless links, but I forget most of them. I think there was spinning clipper>osis and butterfly>drifter.

I just spent an hour creating a new avatar that I think should double as the club logo. I started with one of the Cornell logos:

and turned it into

I even used the official Cornell red for the footbag (red 179, green 27, blue 27). Now it's back to work.

are
flip around the world, both directions but mostly inout cause its harder
flip pickup
flip clipper, i want to catch it up to strong a bit
sort of flip osis, not really,
something new ive been trying once in a while, double leg over, came close a couple times but thats about it,

monday night footbag i was late because i went to my first chapter meeting, nick, ken and brett were all there when i got there we went to play foursquare for a while then played basketball, knockout, freethrow contest, it was fun but we didnt play that much footbag so my only

highlight for footbag was i hit osis bsos,

afterward i went with ken to taco bell, i got my gunits in the mail on monday too, but i didnt pplay in them or anything

yesterday, tuesday, i stayed home pretty much the whole day and didnt really do anything, i got some stitching done, and watched the inside man, it was good, at night, around like 9 or 10 i decided to play footbag and i played for an hour and half in my living room it was pretty good, no reall highlights i dont think

today in the morning i stitched some more, and am half way done with my second bag since ive gotten good fabric, 6th bag over all, i like the way its coming but wish i had more different colors of fabric

i finished my sixth bag, i think it looks alright, it looks better then the last one i made which wasnt very even,
i was going to go to the library and try and do some work but it started snowing at like noon, its 345pm now, ive been waiting for it to die down but seems to just be getting stronger,
so i might just play some footbag solo, at my house,

the only thing that i feel kinda pressed for is that i have this take home final that i dont know how to do, i already met with some one and they didnt know how to do it either so i was going to try and find some one to help me do that too, who knows,

3-man shred at Luis' frat last night: Luis, Nick, and myself. I don't think I'd played for something like 4 days, and our last session was half basketball, so it felt awesome to play for reals again. Maybe I should spell "reals" with a "z" at the end. Y'all feel me.

Aaaaaaaaanyway, everybody played super-well last night. Saw Luis do a string of 8 tiltless, then a butterfly, then a toe, then some more 2s. I can see him going totally tiltless next semester. Nick continues to astound with his progress. I ride him pretty hard about developing his flipside, but only cause I don't want him to have to do what I did (become really one-sided guiltless and have to re-learn/build my flipside from scratch). He's starting to throw flip clipper more comfortably which is good.

We played with this bag for most of the session, and it was really really sweet. Sits well, just the right size, everything. I hope it doesn't get bigger as it breaks in more. Whatever, right now, that bag is perfection.

I felt good about my game yesterday, and my ankle didn't give me any pain either (actually, those two things are probably very related). I don't even feel like I hit anything that noteworthy in particular, I just felt in-the-flow. Really, i was just thrilled to be playing footbag again. Finals period is really rough, so it meant a lot to me to get back to doing my favorite thing in the world.

Oh and if Pascal is reading this, check it: Nick got 46 alternating knee kicks, and I got 5 consec flapper kicks. I even had a good look at 6, I just choked.

ya, so finals period has definatly been a struggle for me to actually get out of my house and do anything, since i had a couple things do this week, but my test arent actually until monday is my first, then tuesday night, wednesday morning, then im done, so i cant wait until wednesday,

yesterdays shred with ken and nick was pretty good, we hadnt really played in a while cause of the previous session being mostly basckeball, but i think i had some solo shred since then but kicking with other people definalty makes it like a different atmosphere, it was fun,
i got to try out my new bag, that i made which seems pretty good so far, and i also cut out some of the insole part of my lavers that push up against the insides but i couldnt really tell a difference,

today, saturday, in the morning i went to get dim sum with a bunch of people, we had been trying to go for like five weeks but stuff always came up, im glad we finaly got to go, and its like the last weekend of the semster too, so good timing, the food was good and it was nice to see people i hadnt seen in a while

after dim sum, i started stitching my next bag, i already had the panels cut out a couple days ago, i want to get it done before i head home, i should have plenty of time, stitching has given me a good distraction since i havent really played footbag during the past couple days,

i wasnt worried about my finals at all cause they seemed like they were so far off, and i just figured i'd do some studying but that i really would just leave it up in the air, so i wasnt too stressed, whatever happens happens attitude, but now that they are getting closer, i feel the pressure, hopefully they go well, can't wait till they're done

i havent played footbag in a week, since last saturday, because of being busy with school, and just not getting around to it, nice to be done with finals, i'm going to indianapolis tomrow, sunday-tues, then ill get to go home to austin for the first time since i left in august,

ive done some stitching, i finished my 7th bad and i think it turned out pretty well, havent had a chance to kick with it though, new bags are nice

yesterday i spent like 4 or 5 hours at the library trying to edit some video for the xmas calendar, it took forever, there are a couple things i would try and change but its done for now since i cant make the changes right now, i have to try and finish some other video editing for a different video today before i head out of town

i worked on trying to do infinities but the most i could get was 3 and not even very consistently
i probably wont be able to play for a couple days, but hopefully the weather will be nice when i get home so i can shred outside

If you start your own blog, who's going to write in this one?

Well I might as well post an update
- Vancouver Jam was lots of fun. I like kicking with new people, getting new advice and seeing different styles
- London and I haven't found any great indoor spots to play near us. We kicked in his living room once, and in an underground parking lot.
- My spins and ducks have become rusty very quickly, though I can still do lots of other stuff I learned during the semester.
- Best highlight so far over break is probably butterfly>whirl>butterfly>whirl. I want to get that combo down.

Anyways, probably no footbag next week, so we'll see if I get to play in the new year.

friday during the day i went to my aunts across town, showed my cousins and family some footbag videos, nbk,
at night i went to the mall and some small house parties, saw some people i knew from before

saturday morning i woke up around 1130am then went to play footbag , outside was kinda cold, with ben, the sesion was pretty good for me, everything felt real good, ben like pulled someithng so we stopped, i hit one clean ducking but my like around the worlds both sides both directions felt good for like doing them both on one foot > legover >atw on the other foot both directions

i might take a rode trip with one of my friends to either mexico, new orleans, or colorado, or just stay home and not go anywhere, we dont really have any plans, we'd probably go from the 26 to the 30 or something like that

Road trip up to Chicago for the NYJ. It's gonna be sick.

I miss my Cornell club. I played solo today, and it just wasn't the same. :(

christmas eve, i finished my eight bag, it looks pretty nice, i like it, havent really been able to shred, shitty weather adn no in door spot, so ive watched lots of footbag videos, and talked about footbag alot, think its driving my dad crazy, and my brother doesnt really seem to care for it,

i tried to play a little bit in my living room, for like an hour, not much open space but it still felt good to play, i worked on ilusion i can hit it strong side but not consistently so i mostly was trying to do it flip cause i cant really do it that side, it made my knee feel a little funny,
i hit osis back to back, which was cool,

hopefully, weather will be better tomrow, and ill have a christmas shred,

happy holidays,,,

Luis,
Props on osis back to back! As I think I mentioned last session that took me basically a year to hit. I was trying to hit pdx mirage out of osis yesterday, couldn't do it. I'm glad that you're working on the move, it's kind of inspiring me to work on it. I think my back is better after pulling it the other day but shin splints are still healing up. Are you still going on that road trip? Let's definitely have a Wednesday session, perhaps we could start it a little earlier and have an extended session. When I start work tomorrow I should have a good idea how much "work from home" I'll actually need to do this week. Less work means more footbag.

Still thinking about starting your own blog? It would be cool to have an Austin blog or a Texas blog, but I don't think we have enough people to warrant that. Oh dude, don't worry about talking people's ears off about footbag. I've just gotten to the point where I keep it to myself and occasionaly crack a smile or chuckle.
