attached to your footbags?
i havent stitched many bags, but the ones i have stitched i know they arent the best in the world but i like to have them even if i dont use them all its just cool to have something i made,
i was wondering if other stitchers felt any sentimental attachments to the bags they make, and if they have trouble letting them go, either when they sell them or give them as gifts?

I have only made 2 so far, and everytime i show anyone at school they are like sweet let me have it, or make me one, and im just thinking nah, i think ill hang on to it. These mostly are people who dont even footbag, me and my friend jeff are the only ones in the school that do it, but for somereason everyone wants one. haha. But yea im going to give one to my bud jeff cause i know he'll use it, but anyone else im hesitant.

make bags for the footbaggers youll see again. that way you can see your bag get broken in (of course you can break it in for yourself.. but having other people like your bags is a good thing)
i stitch bags the way i like them, but most of them arent for myself, they are for other shredders... and thats fine with me... id rather my bags get used than be shelf bags.

It's a hard feeling to get over with. That's just one of the cons of stitching, where you make a badass bag and you don't want to give them away. The only justification is that you assured yourself that the bags you make go to the right people who can treat them well.

My first (and only 2) self stitched bags are terrible....mildly deformed, and completely unplayable. But like a nurturing parent who loves their boneheaded stupid kids, I've kept them around...needless to say they've been neglected, and I hardly feed them or bathe them, but they're still a part of my family of footbags.

I made a really choice bag with Willow, Marmalade and Eclipse a couple of months ago and it is the only bag I use to play with these days.Nathan wrote:... I prefer to play with one bag until it dies then stitch another one exactly how I want it. Breaking in bags sucks anyway.
