Hello all,
I just recently sharpie modded my lavers and i must say im very happy with how they turned out, i love them. The one side affect that is still pestering me is the permanent marker smell they still reek of. Anyone have any solutions other than wait it out? It's been 4 days since i modded them.

they're brand new. just give it a week or two and play in them a lot, wear them in. it helps if you have the canvas removed on the inside.

wtf, you asked how to get the sharpie smell out; I told you to play in them a lot and wait it out. It will go away. don't worry about it. I don't know why it matters what your shoes smell like anyway. eventually they will just smell like feet.
ps. sharpie is non-toxic.

haha .org....
your feet are gonna stink if you shred in them daily... but if youre that worried then why dont you just wash them in the washing machine, then pull them out and let them air dry. (take the laces off when you wash shoes, and dont wash them alone... wash them with some shirts or a jacket or some towels)

Honestly, if you don't want your shoes to smell like markers, then don't colour them in. Otherwise, you can try things that usually make fabric smell better....maybe febreze, or some arm and hammer crap. The point is, I think you'll get better results using your head than asking a bunch of people on an internet forum. As far as I know, nobody here is any more of a stink scientist than you are. Shoes are just like anything else, and if they smell you can do one of two things: use a deodourizing spray of some sort, or stop being a wuss and deal with it.
Hopefully, this is of some help.
