The christmas calender is good. Everyone is pulling through. I have like 20 videos in the bag, and the last 5 will come together.
Already knew about the first part. After all - I play with my own bags. :P

My video is done now, so you can check me off the lazy list.

Perma-Warm
Ok, So I have this state of mind/physicality that I used to get back in the summer. And I haven't gotten it in a long time, but today I did.

This whole state is like, when you play so much you are always warm, and you can always shred. Your legs just deal with it. They are sore, but they can take it. I love it.

I've played the past like 7 days with at least 2 hours on each, and I'm still playing well on day whatever it is now.

Ok so anyway, this is the best feeling you can have footbag wise, and I recommend you all go play a shitload so you can experience it.

Peter Irish comes Sunday. Sweet.

I love Perma-warm. My homie James Risden used to say the only thing that helps sore legs is to play footbag, and eventually it won't hurt no more.

Ask Peter if he got the time off to come to Chicago :).

yeah see if peter wants to come, I want to ask him about accupuncture (idk, someone told me peter studied it.)

perma warm takes about 2-3 days of full kicking.

Hey Mr. Clavens. I'm pretty psyched to see how much your footbag game has exploded since KICKASS. And if everything goes as planned, I should be coming to the Chicago NYJ. Maybe I'll seeya there!

Today I played with Irish/Bevier/Pipenberg. It was pretty cool. He isn't going to NYJ because of work if anyone is wondering.

I played alright. No need to write it all down.

I have no desire to write in this thing today.

Uuummm....yeah.
"I played alright, no need to write it all down". Uh, I think that was one of the biggest understatements I've heard in recent memory. Thanks for being humble Dave.
Ladies and Gents, I just witnessed some of the most devastating freestyle ever done this weekend. Seriously, this kid is so damn good I dont know what else to say. 20 unique fearless fairly easily, not a big deal. When Dave hit nemesis>nemesis, and Gordon and I thought it could have been a little cleaner, he hit it again for us super clean just for the hell of it. Dave's links were so mind boggling it's all become a mush in my brain. The difficulty level was just fucking ridiculous. All I can say is warm up the cameras and bring plenty of tape to Chicago, because it will be a show.
Thanks for a good time Dave, looking forward to playing again soon.

Hope things start to get back to normal. Props on nemesis x 2, although I'm not suprised. You know how you're fuckin top notch hot shit when you hit one of the worlds hardest impossible tricks back to back, and someone says "Yeah, I'm not suprised."

All I gotta say is...suprise me in Chitown.

You're one of the chillest guys I know, Dave. Props on Nemesis bsos! Props on your recent stitching! And most importantly, props on being humble about everything.

Good luck with your finals. Your sickness could be a sign to cram harder.

2:37 a.m

My fingers are sore as hell. I learned to play the guitar 2 days ago and have been praticing non-stop since. I love it. I love being new at something with a wealth of knowledge and skill ahead of you to be covered. Guitar is really hard. I'm learning some chords and songs. My friend down the hall went away for the weekend and let me borrow his acoustic. This kid named Pat has been playing for 10 years and gave me a little lesson today. It's a really neat hobby I can pick up. Who knows, this might just be begginers stokedness though.

Pretty proud of Toolan latley. He went from playing with me everyday to playing solo. I think he's finally starting to really skool a lot on his own. His new blog post was really impressive.

I played today even though I'm still pretty sick. It worked out ok. I'm so runny nose-wise that mid spin I kept having to sniffle. One time I didn't and I doused my sweat shirt in sweet nose gold. Bummer.

I was studying for a test and I was using the teacher review materials. I realized that of the answers was wrong, and I e-mailed him telling him. I didn't think anything of it, I was just being nice because I didn't want people learning the wrong shit for the final. He ended up giving me 5 extra credit points on top of the 8 I already had. This means I get 13 points added to the final. So I could get a 87 and its a 100. Isn't that sick? Karma baby.

I haven't stitched much latley. I think I will have like 2 or 3 bags at nyj. I don't really care. I don't need money too bad, and there are so many other people selling it doesn't really matter if I have shit. I'm all worried about the lead stuff anyway.

Not looking forward to the 10 hour car ride to North Carolina next Friday. Ugh. But then NYJ after that. It's funny though, cuz I'm not really too stoked for the tournament. I just don't get stoked anymore. I like flying though, so that will be cool. Thank god it's only 2 hour flight, that will be really nice. Hop on, listen to some tunes, dream up combos, bam. I think I might bring a camera. I really like when people post pictures from tournaments they go to.

I have 5 finals in 5 classes. I took 2 of them already. 88 on one of them. Pretty solid. I'm shooting for a 3.5 this semester, but it might not go that way. If I get an A in statstics it will help a shitload, because its a 4 credit class. So an A is worth a more than just 1/5th of my gpa.

Nothing else is really new. My roomate is passed out on his bed. He was watching Lord of the Rings. He watched almost all three in one day. Props. That's like 11 hours of hobbit goodness.

I really am into some new bands latley. I like goldfinger a lot, which I guess isn't much to brag about because they aren't a complex band. Just kinda stupid punk shit. Whatever. I'm really into Ben Folds. So good. It's like modern Billy Joel. I listen to a lot of Gangstarr. I have Napster at school, like a subscription to it, so I can stream almost anything I want, it's pretty hot.

I asked for some shit for xmas. I hope I get a new mp3 player to replace my ipod that busted. I just want a little flash player. I asked for some shirts off the internet too. And like socks and shit. Oh, and a buttload of facile. Which is funny because I half feel like toning down my stitching. If I find a good lead alternative I'll probably get back into it.

Wow, I just keep writing and writing. It's good to just let your mind flow and drop stuff. Did I mention I played today? Probably. I hit one good combo. I watched some Cornell footage and I don't really like how I play in Circle Contest. I just get into this like, filler mode. It really sucks. that competition just makes you play like, in a contained filter. Because you know if you drop your screwed, so you wont go for shit that is less consistant. It isn't like a real circle at all. It sucks that every tournament loves it. I mean, you could say "oh david you just suck at it so your complaining" but look at the stats. I've been in 3 circle contests (us open, cornell, kickass). I placed two 1sts and one 2nd. So that's not a valid argument, exspecially because all 3 of those tournaments had good players. I just don't like that format. I would rather do routines (something I'm not very good at). Who knows.

Nature valley makes some kickass granola bars. I would love to visit nature valley sometime. I'm sure its frikken off the hook.

There is a creamery at penn state that is like, regionally famous. It makes some kickass lemonade and iced tea. And ice cream of course.

Sometimes I wish I had a girlfriend to hang out with. But I'm so frikken cool I would overwhelm her with pure manly goodness.

Have a good one.

Huzzah for noobism. Greenhorn fo life.

The finger pain goes away pretty quickly. Playing is easier if your arms and shoulders are relaxed and aren't tensed up. Using just enough force to fret the strings so it sounds clean lets you play faster. Using excessive force slows you down.
