Funny site created by NBC and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. The story is, on one episode of Conan O'Brien, after they did a comedy bit about school mascots (webcam manatee), Conan said you could check out the action at HornyManatee.com. There obviously was no such site; Conan was just making it up off the top of his head to be funny.

Well, the next day the NBC lawyers told Conan that if he says a fake website address on air, NBC is required to buy rights to that website. (I don't know why) So, NBC ended up buying 10 years worth of rights to HornyManatee.com. So, the Late Night team quickly built the website up and within 2 days the site had over 1 million hits.

It is pretty funny, in a disturbing kind of way. :lol:
