Post by shred villain »

doesnt it suck being 15 and having your parents take away your stitching materials and footbags whenever you do something wrong? this is one of the problems of being a younger person who stitches, because once(or even if) i get my stuff back i'll suck at stitching and have to work my way back up to where i was before. parents are a pain in the fanny. :x

Well, being a recent 15 year old on modified I'll throw in some input..

If I do something wrong, my parents have the strange idea that I am old/mature enough to talk to me about it, and explain why whatever I am doing is completely idiotic...I think about it, realize that they are just a wee bit older than me, by 20 years, and they probably know what they're talking about, and change whatever I am doing.

Seems to work. It helps to look at yourself as a small child, it's odd how our mind seems to find no harm in saying "That kid stabbing the little small crippled pony in the dark corner is wrong" however, we can't see that stitching/footbagging is something you should be doing after your first priorities are overwith.

When i stitch, my fingers r sore cuz i don't have a glovers needle, and i stab myself a couple times. Stitching is painful.

first off, I agree with henry

secondly I think my parents would be insane to take away my stitching stuff/footbags. I'm 15 too and stitching is the only way for me to make money and footbag is the only way that I stay occupied for hours at a time constructively. I think my parents can see the benefits.

my parents are glad for what i am doing and think that footbag and stitching is great. but they see footbag as an outlet to take away thinking it will help me learn. it only makes me hate them more. i got my stuff taken away for using the computer without asking(yup, i have to ask to do anything in this suburban hell hole). i get my things taken away whether i did something wrong that was footbag related or not. i dont want anyone to think i'm like a bad kid or anything. i respect everyone no matter what, but my parents are the blandest people ever. my dad is huge and he listens to organ music. now you can somewhat understand what i'm going through.

my mom's the same. (although I don't make money with stitching). I'm 16 now, but I've never really had footbag-withdrawl used as a punishment. My mom's pretty cool.

that would suck to get footbag stuff taken away. I would start smoking weed and make no attempt to hide it (eg: smoke-up in my house when everyone's home) just to show that shit's worse without footbag. :P
