Session on Sunday was awesome. Great to see all you guys together at once! And the new kids, sweet deal. The pub after was great too. Nice write up, Josh!

I can't wait to play again with you fine folks, so... I work till 5 on Wednesday. I can play after 6. So who is interested? Because that will determine where we play.

Hey Guys, check it out, Shameless Magazine posted their past issues on their website, and that article about me is accessible online:

http://www.shamelessmag.com/issues/summ ... ing-goods/

It's an awesome magazine. I got my teenage neices a subscription for Christmas.

:)

P.S. The "quotes" in that article aren't even quotes. The writer never wrote down or recorded anything I said, she paraphrased and made a few of assumptions. :? They aren't my exact words. Just so ya know.

No way..2nd best female footbagger in Canada?! I know someone famous!!! HAHA..well..i've met someone famous...and shook your hand 8) bragging rights??

Anyway, I'm gonna be away this weekend, and i intend to do some major shredding and i need some help on proper ways to get better on my own.

First of all, i wanna learn the mirage, but my legover and pickup set is "like a mini quantum set" (im pretty sure Adam or Josh said that) ...would that effect the learning of mirage?

If i wanna clipper, what are the basic drills to do? I tried lookin' through the forums and i saw Jordans thread on how to avoid injury, but i dunno how to start learning that.

Oh, and mike, can u look through your inventory and see what shirts you got in small??

Alex- the basic drill for clipper is inside stall. You have to do a million of them before you're in shape to start learning clipper. Get to the point where you can toss the bag from foot to foot in a smooth and controlled manner. You need to be more comfortabe with toe stalls too. (just my opininon). I suggest you lay off the legovers for a while. Once you've got the basic stalls down, you will find legovers much easier. And yeah, read everything Jorden has to say. He won't steer you wrong.

As for shirts, let me look into it.

A mini quantum set (it was Josh that said that) is perfect for learning mirage, because a quntum set is a mirage while the bag is still going up. You basically just need to switch feet instead of catching on the opposite foot for pickup (got that?).

As for clippers, inside stalls may help, but I personally find clippers to be easier than insides.

I would practice your balance by standing in the clipper position, with a bag on your clipper, and simply lower and raise your clipper foot.... Once you feel comfortable with this try to move on to stalls, where you set the bag and catch it again instead of just moving your foot up and down. I don't remember ever doing this, but it's what I can think of that may be useful.

Balance is important, and so is the flatness of your inside surface. TO increase the flatness of your inside, concentrate on pulling your big toe (while sideways in clipper position) up (towards your head). This is what I concentrate on for my flip clipper. I hope it helps.

Little to no support for a session tonight, so it looks like I'm just gonna have a solo session in my basement...

BUT... Who wants to play on saturday?

I could play early Saturday, Sam, before I'm off to Hamilton to do the family thing. Is a 10 or 11 session too early for you?

I hope you guys know that by keeping an active blog you are making my stay in Germany seem longer and longer... Damn I can't wait to meet all of you! I hear the weather is shockingly warm, and that it doesn't look like you'll have a "white Christmas"....

Merry Christmas, and a happy new year from Germany :) (wee bit early...Meh, christmas is on the 24th here anyway...)

So, I had a sweet solo session today, since none of you lamewads wanted to play.

Highlights:
A little consistency in good side pdx drifter (maybe 1 in 2)
Nailed first solid toe symp whirl
Nailed eggbeater a few times (still no better than 1 in 4, though)
Footed Spinning butter (a first!)
Footed goodside assassin ( but my ducking mirage is better the other way...)

Clear up your saturday morning, peeps. Looks like it may be an early one.

Mike:
Assassin is Alpine Smear; Pixie Ducking Mirage.

Speaking of ducking mirages...

Sam, you inspired me to solo-session and work on some things myself!

Ducking and Diving Mirage from both toes and clippers
Rev Swirl coming well, maybe 5/8
flip Drifter still some trouble... little improvement

Might do it again tonight...

And Saturday might be ok for me!! Alright.

Hey guys. I know everyone is probably preoccupied with the thought of Christmas right now, but when would be a good day next week to come into Toronto? I'm thinking about going to the Quo Vadis concert at the Metal Bar on Saturday, so would prefer sometime later in the week. And sometime when I can get some cuddlebags off of Peng :D
I wonder, are any of you into Quo Vadis? Or Death Metal? If so, you should join me on Saturday, as I'm really not sure how much company I'm going to have otherwise.

Props on getting swirling going, josh, and I totally hear you on the flip drifter front. I've got a pretty lazy leg... Just sooo slow, and my hip is decently sore from tryin.
As for the session tomorrow morning... Where? Bahen Centre? I'm cool with that if you are, Mike. I don't think an early night is in the cards for me, and I may be sweating off a hangover tomorrow, so 11 would be better than 10.

OH YEAH... One other thing. I went into This shop near my house that sells a bunch of footbags (x-village), and was chatting with the manager, who was generous in the throwing out of ideas... She said that they are willing to start organizing possible demos and comps. Are we interested in this? I mean, they're doing out of self interest, but It could really benefit the sport, too. The only other issue is that... well... we don't really use their products. But its something to think about. Talk to y'all later.
