A few days ago I got what I later figured out was food poisoning. BAD food poisoning. I'll give juicy details to anyone brave enough to ask in person, it's a good story.

I will probably not be drinking or diving.

What day should we be coming on? I hear all this about 27th shred but I thought I was supposed to show up on the 28th.

Also, it looks like I basically can't return the car on the 30th or 31st so we may as well stay for new years.

Hey jorden, johnny and skippy, can you all stay for new years? maybe i should pm them.

well chris obara wants to shred the 27th, but has not confirmed or mentioned of a place or time for it to happen so i guess you gotta talk to him about it. the only possible place i can think of is inside of navy pier but then you need to find out how late they are open to, and you will also have to figure out how you will be getting there cause parking is a pain in the ass and or very expensive (if you cant find a meter and resort to parking at a pay lot)

The 28th 29th 30th we will have event site and hotel space to do as much shred as you can possibly muster in those 3 days.

The new years eve festivities are being talked about in a seperate post.

but to sum up the conversation:

There will not be a party at zekes, but there will be a non alcoholic hangout/gathering in the more chill relaxed fashion at zekes instead.

And anyone who wants a bit of the more loud intoxicated crazyness will be heading to the southside for all night festivities with myself and my party friends.

and mosher do not worry i spent a good chunk of my time last year with Moir and suderman, so im genuinely excited to meet you even if your behind some talented shadows.

Is it possible to shred at mcormick place on the 27th?
I dont think the pier is open for to long and its pretty chilly outside so i guess there's really no place to shred at except in palatine or the mcormick place.

Also any sticher who sells good bags for $20(discount bulk price for each bag is cool too) will have to see me because i got christmas money and im up for buying at least 8-10 bags(maybe even more).Ill at least buy one bag off of who ever, if they PM me and show an example pic. of what they can do.

I don't think it's possible to shred at McCormick place on that day, and even if it was ... It's kind of a long trip for everyone to get down there play for 2-3 hours and then go back to zekes ... and then the next morning get back on the train and head down there again.

I think you should take shawns advice and scratch the idea of getting a big group together to shred on the 27th, and just bust harder on the 28th!

So this morning i get out of bed and when i stand up i feel a shooting pain in my right foot

i been out at familys limping avoiding putting any weight on my right foot

Its not unbearable and it nothing broken, but if it doesnt get better there is no way i can shred.

It really feels like an odd bruise or muscle strain at the top of my foot, The strangest part is i have no idea how it happened??

Well im REALLY! hopping its something that will be completely gone by no later than friday and hopefully by thursday.

Im worried angry and confused............ i have felt a similair pain before but it wasnt as severe and it only lasted a day and was about 6 months ago

If im am unable to shred i would like to volunteer full time service to help run the event, help out in the interactive zone, record footage for someone with the camera, take tons of pictures and have as much fun while crying on the inside that im not shredding

and practice my symposium mirage and reverse mirage on one side lol

Oh and just party ever harder

But thats only if, cause if im healthy i plan to shred til near death

shawn, the exact same thing is happening to me friend. its been 2-3 days, hes still limping.

so...I'm still not sure what I'm doing after the event, new years, I think I'm going to this private party, which means I cant bring anyone. but theirs probably a party the night before

i was talking to my aunt she was describing a similair situation with the exact same pain location and symptoms and she was stuck in a walking cast/boot for a 4 week healing period.

if the pain doesnt subside a bit by tomorrow morning i will be calling my doctor and getting an appointment.

Ill play on the 27th, isnt it up to players to decide if they want to shred instead of being told not to. Someone has to take breaks during the event to teach kids and FILM (unlike last year) anyways. And 4 days of shred isnt too hard, if you ever been to worlds its 7+ days of shred.
