exerting

Post by Wumbo »

do you think it is necessary or normal to exert oneself before it can look effortless? i mean i can do lazy style all the time but i will hit difficult tricks like datw, dlo or ripwalk only if i put a lot of power in it. do you think one should try to do it most economically from the beginning on until it works, and never exort? hope u get what i mean

Have you ever heard of the Golden mean? The Rule is "nothing to excess".
I think this you are the only one who knows the answer to this. I hope you get what I mean. There is always an easier way, remember this.

the golden mean is a proportion, 1.618. many philosophical ideas are inherent and i guess "nothing in excess" is in there, but thats really selling it short

wumbo, tis bitch in the begining, but slowly the required effort decreases.

I definately think it's normal to have to exert and exert and exert a thousand times before you can bust it out effortlessly. (or appear to, anyway ;) ) If you didn't have to work to eliminate all the effort... well... everyone would be doing it.

And effortless isn't about lazy style. It's about precise technique.
