Nothing, it looks very clean. If you want to be able to hit harder stuff off it you will need to practice planting your pixie leg faster after the dex, and perhaps getting the set a bit higher. It's looking in very good form though.

As nic told, the big problem is you putting your feet too slow on the ground. The bag should still be on his way up when you put your feet on the ground, not midtime like in the vid, but my first we're the same as you so just keep working on it!

good point, I've been trying to "slow Down" for some moves like osis (which I can seem to only hit toe ss osis) but I get your point. I'll do that. Is there a trick like pixie ss osis but the osis is caught in a butterfly like way? so instead of setting up pixie and having the bag land osis first you would set the bag, pixie, then plant the setting leg, same leg butterfly type dex over the bag, then land osis with the butterfly dexing leg. How many adds would that be...4 or 5?

Your talking about a refraction.

So it will be a Pixie Refraction, and that would be a 5 adds if I'm right, but it's really hard, keep working on the basics, that will just slow down your progress.

A good indication to know if you have a good pixie is doing continuous Magellan. If you can hit 4 or 5 consecutives and have a good refraction ( need a real good osis ) Than you may try them, but until them work on easier moves like : Pixie pick-up, smear, pixie-legover, magellan, pixie SS clipper, pixie muted clipper, dimwalk, parkwalk.... anyway you get what I mean.

Refraction is a 3, so it would be a 4.

My advice on pixies -

Don't give up on them. They're a huge pain in the ass at the beginning (as you probably know) but they get a lot easier.

I think the difficulty of certain tricks depends upon the person, and furthermore, I dont believe anyone is in the position to decide which tricks are what. Some ppl just excel at certain tricks is all.

Finally got around to watching some of these.

The Sick One video was great. Flurricane?! High plains swirl? Very high level. Props on the super clean gangsta party too. Really, almost everybody's entry was quite good.

One question: if mobius and pigbeater got downgraded from open to novice, why did matador and mullet remain in Open? Seems kinda arbitrary is all.

good advice dudes, I'll keep to "easy" stuff for now. This weekend I was working the basics. My pixie is still a little short. I did, however, hit toe set ducking osis! smooth move! thanks guys!

I can't agree with Brain's sick 3 getting first and Zeb's sick 3 getting second..... but I'll watch the video again.

My rankings:
1st. Zeb Jackson: Ripwalk>Rev. Whirl>Ducking Osis. Nice! Everything looked clean to me.

2nd.Brian Dennis: Fairy Legover>Eggbeater>Paradon. This would of got first if the Fairy set wasn't so thin.

3rd That Prolander PLO>Butterfly>Paradox Mirage. Nice dude! it looked really easy for you! and it was damn stylely!

You guys are most likely thinking "Wtf? How does that work?" well.... Those guys were all either Both sided, stylely, and a good degree of hardness.

i think its right that i got 1st

i mean, i can ripwalk and step and shit all day long. theyre easy. not too many players have eggs down like i do.

basically i think my tricks were harder. my fairy may have been thin, but it was there.

next time, ill throw harder shit if im gonna get pointed at for barely winning and it being unfair.

had i judged novice i would have ranked it the same way.

ripwalk: standard (2 dex)
rev. whirl: easy down time move (1 dex)
ducking osis: harder stylish move (nice variety with the duck, all clipper moves)

fairy leg: less common set (2 dexes)
egg: harder downtime move (2 dexes)
paradon: difficult downtime move (2 dexes, variety on each trick, toes and clipper)

any hoo... i had alot of fun judging the open categories. really tough to choose between some of them, but it always is. congrats to every one who put in entries!!! Hope i get to do this again!
