any more though? criticism allowed too. actually very important, since it's the first video in almost two years, and nobody watches it.

I watched it :)

Great vid! If I shredded as intense as you do, I think I could up my speed and efficiency, so that's one thing I took from the vid for myself. The music went really well with your aggressive style.

As for criticisms, I'd say you may want to try playing over the bag a bit more. From the vid, it seemed as if you were falling backward a lot. (a bad habit to get into, and one I've struggled with myself) Good way to fix this is by focusing on playing on your tip toes as much as possible. You can even just do some air shredding and practice doing clipper and ripwalk motions, while staying on your toes.

Didn't see any ducks and spins. I'm assuming the ducks would be pretty difficult with thick dreds in the back, probably impossible to get a clean duck. I'd settle for a decent dred-deep duck though. You may want to get into them a little, they can be good for bails. If you prefer not to as a style choice, I'd support that too.

Didn't see any oses. The osis-ending concepts you did highlight, such as the torques and pdx blender, were somewhat pulled. I'd say skool osis for a while so you can clean those up. With actual spin/gyro components, if you're avoiding that for preference, I can understand, but osis is a pretty fundamental and important concept.

Pixies and fairies looked great, and again, your intensity allowed for a good ammount of time to finish with downtime components. However, playing on your toes, and springing up with a quick burst from the support leg may make the uptime even easier, and allow for less energy-consumption. (Another concept I struggled with) I did see a little burst, but I guess I'd just like to see those pixies become a little 'slower' and more fluid. It seems that you're really expending a lot of energy on those.

Other than that, great job. I really like the intensity of your style, and all the advanced drills and concepts were cool, especially mid-string. Double down looked good, and you have a very strong whirl foundation. And the uptime stuff really did look great, I just think you could slow that stuff down a little and become even more efficient. Thanks for making the vid, and can't wait to see more in the future!!! Happy New Year :)

You sound kinda disappointed. Well maybe I can help some...ever since I first heard of you and saw you play at Montreal, you became one of my favorite shreditas. I can't really criticize you. I've always loved your style. Keep it up. :D

Thanks for the video.

I think I was most impressed with Verena's bothsided fairies and pixies. I think atomic would be a nice addition to your game. Since you can fairy set on both sides, I don't think adding both atomics should be that hard for you. Swirls look really easy for you, and they look really good, so I wouldn't mind seeing more of them too. I also agree that some spins or ducks would add good variety. That said, I was overall very very impressed; you're much better than the last time I saw you.

I had never seen Alex play before, and I have to say I was impressed. I liked sumo-atom the best.

I hope you guys make more videos in the future. There aren't nearly enough shredita videos out there, and I think it's really important to show the world that girls can shred too. Between you and Tina, I think beginning footbag girls can really get an idea of what is possible. Good stuff.

Verena, you're awesome. I've been looking for footage of you all over the place. This video was awesome. You've gotten so good since the last time I saw a video of you. I wished I could shred as nice and smooth as you.

Alex, had never seen you before but you were awesome. Very nice style. Some really impressive moves in there =). Nice editing by the way. The music was really awesome.

I really like watching this one- the energy, the moves, the good music .

Alex you seem to be in great shape, you have a lot of the key elements
down, tricky links and you seem to play a lot more relaxed and efficiently .
I look forward to that big tourney we all gonna enjoy in your beautiful city !

Verena, you know i like the way go about footbag, its a lot of fun shredding
with you and i've always been a fan of your style , so i stop it right there. Cause its criticism that you want :P :
use more downtime elements like drifter, dlo, eggbeater, flail or whatever.
I told Max Jaeger the same thing today - i think when one shuffles to much,
the idea of accomplishing certain drill-goals can get in the way of the flow
and the fun involved in freestyle.
Of course, i'm also on that boat :D, and thats why i'm sure that more
downtime stuff, more clipper to clipper combos, and any dexless are
a big plus variety-endurence-flow-and energy - wise.

Tell me what you think !

Catching up on my fizzied video backlog and just watched this.

Great shuffle vid! Verenna I really like your use fairy set, you don't see that much usually, good stuff. Also, your torques are really cool. With all that toe shuffle you should be hitting more eggbeaters and DLOs :)

hey verena
your game has come a long way since i saw you in 04
its so cool to see you play again
you hit such tough tourque tricks, but i think they always end your runs
so maybe if you can butterfly and continue the run
i agree with someone else
its so much effort
you are so good at those pixie and fairy sets, no need to try
its cool that you play with alex
alex never needs to try at all
he is effortless

also i am so so worried about your pdx whirl, you never drop it, but i think you might fall over or miss it, i think your catch foot moves alot just before you are going to catch it
other than that you are a total star and i look foward to seeing you play in person again

i dont know if alex sees this, but alex your game is very cool
you will never get injured as long as you play if you play in that style
all your moves are so safe

Hey Verena! Awesome video...you have gotten soooo much better since the last time I saw you play. I'm blown away with how well you're shredding - big moves & big links! I'm thinking about kicking for the first time since having a baby last November. It's been a while, but seeing yours and hopefully a few others' vids, I'll feel inspired. What shoes are you wearing these days?

thanks for those comments. i really appreciate them!
as soon as i'll have time to play again (university... :( :( :( :(), i'll try to act on your advices!

@jane: great to hear from you! and congratulations! i play in g-units by the way.
@all: the toe shuffle especially looked so hard, because i wanted to hit 10+ unique toe contacts for the camera, but always failed. so i got super tired in the end. i also noticed that my runs (that weren't very long that day) always ended in torques, but that's just coincidence (can hit quite a lot of things out of it). and duckings i can't do because of my hair. :?

however. thanks a lot for all the tipps and props i got!!

verena: nice too finally see a vid from you again, as allways i loved too see the torques. sadly my torques have evolved bejond the point of looking like yours. :( crazy style as allways

alex: good god... :) last thing i saw from you was some footage from frankfurt this summer, and you realy got better, in stylish ways, looks so much smoother now. also links are harder now, that seems to be a good thing. great runs, cool shoes and bags.... :P

music: i like alot

pauli: thanks for filming, but take lessons from the tripod, sometimes you are shakey, but lucky us mostlky before the runs :)

Thanks everybody for the kind words. It's really appreciated.

I think at worlds I was in a pretty bad physical condition because of countless cigarettes and partys. Now I at least stopped smoking 8)
