Is a 25lb bag of 7 1/2 lead shot for $29.99 a good deal?

It's at Bass Pro Shop thats 25 mins away from my house, so free shipping.

thats as good as it gets. Bass Pro all the way .

i bought 25 pounds in july and theres 2 stitchers using that lead.. and its still half full.

except i got size 9, and thats what most people seem to like best.

7.5 isnt bad, so dont get me wrong.

i started with size 8.

bass pro shop is the shit...

this is how i see it...
25lbs = 11,339.809grams
if you make bags that are 50grams each... then you can make 226 footbags if lead is all youre putting in them.

I've never tried that size of lead but it might leak out of the bleed hole if you don't make your bleed holes tight enough but if you're willing to try it I don't think there is a problem with it

well right now im using size 8, and i have no problems with it leaking out, and the diameter is .9" and size 10 has a diameter of .7"
Does nickel plated lead flake?

Any type of plating for lead will flake out or deteriorate. My experiences with copper plated lead is that it would flake.

Although for zinc plated steel shot, it only fades, so I don't really know.
