CIC Memories: 4th of July 2004 - Part Deux

Emily made the best burgers from ground meat and spices. We threw a roll of paper towels down at Reile while he was climbing up the ladder and he got so mad. Someone took it up a notch threw a big rock or something down at Zeke coming up the ladder. This is on tape, but the culprit is not visible due to rocking of the camera.

Speaking of the ladder - SO scary. Going down was more scary. Like an 11 foot drop if the ladder slipped. You had to - somehow - grab onto the lip of the port. Whole body over big hole and using only ur arms you lower urself down a few feet till u can reach the ladder.

Decided to aim bottle rockets with hands. One time i was holding it and the burning wick was falling on my ar and hand. ME: "It burns! It BURNS!"
Aimed at house. Going, going, going - POP! Hit some window way harder than a 5 oz piece of paper should.

We thought we heard cops and ducked low and put out all lights. Tim ran like a ninja and scoped out.

My 8 dollar fountain was the finale - a good 6 minute firework. SO awesome.

When is a good time to head down to NYJ to see some good footbagging and meet people? Unfortunately due to non-footbagging college friends coming from outta town I can't attend every single millisecond of it like I planned, but I definitely want to swing by and meet some people and see some of the action. Any suggestions?

Wrigley Field Jam - 04JAN2007

It was supposed to be 58 degrees. It was about 48. That's fine But the wind and then the rain ruined the good weather - the reason we were kicking outside. But it didn't matter cuz it was so fun anyway.

Zeke and I were in, and I thought about Abe and that he lived in Wrigleyville, so I thought of Wrigely field and that we should kick there near his house. Also we've never kicked there before. After a few mintues I called a bunch of peeps and tried to set up the jam to be awesome. I called Brian next an he was in because thursday is his day off. I was really excited that he was coming out. Freddy and Josh were down too.

Zeke, Freddy, Brian, Josh, and Me.

We searched around the field for some wind and rain cover which we found. it was still a lil cold, but I was sweating . I played really well - my pixie practice forom the da b4 payed off, and I tried to make long strings with easy stuff and it worked. Also flurry bsos and flip whirling swirl - prettiest ever. Lots of fun, no short strings. Brian seemed to have fun, ducking drifeter like whoa! and seemed to be motivated to play more, which is awesome. I think we should do so way more frequently. Josh was shuffling like a mo as usual, and steps outta osis so nice.

We were actually playing in the rain at one point like true warriors. I think the wetness and the cold made my throat hurt the next day, and I feel that I might get sick. Hopefully not.

Wrigley Field is nice, but the front is not flat, but doable, maybe again, but maybe not.

Afterward, chilled at La RAZA and watched a huge tv. Also watched new vids from NYJ. That was exciting to have some footage. Especially the boxing stuff.

Just playing. Were you there? This was actually a spur of the moment thing.

I was at NYJ for all of like 15-20 minutes and just spectated without talking to anyone. My non-footbagging college friends in town kept me busy...too much drinking and getting into trouble. :O

I'll try to make it to Navy Pier tomorrow...then you can make fun of my footbagging.

We won't make fun of it for sure.

If anything we'll encourage it and give you tips. But we definetly won't make fun of it. Expecially if you kick with Tom or Zeke.

Played footbag with tom today. I messed around for the most part, trying random stuff. My knee started bothering me later into the session.

Tom wasn't shredding hard since it wasnt a serious session, but he still hit some styley links.

Had a pretty good session on Sunday. Lots of shred and squares. I played mostly 2 square and even took a turn or 2 in the shred circle. Nice to see Freddy come out to the Pier for a change. Met Viral who seemed a little shy at first but by the end of the session was joking around like one of the guys. Even gave us all a ride to my place afterwards

Tony got the best of me in squares taking 3 of 5 single games we played throughout the afternoon. Other than that, I think I played well. I was trying some new shots and strategies I picked up from Steve. Eventually I had to stop playing due to a sharp pain on the outside of my left foot. It hurt like hell until yesterday afternoon.

Nathan did his trademark lapcatch> crotch thrust against Tom in 2-square. I pointed out that players are not able to score off stalls in 2S. Nathan, with a dead serious face says, " You neutered me"

"That's what you get when you keep thrusting people!"

Freddy and Tom came to La RAZA and saw the new layout of the living room. We ordered some pizza from Villa Palermo and watched an episode of Beauty and the Geek

It's windy and might drizzle today. Idk but i wanna play.

With kamil we played with an Emily bag! How weird is that. It was so soft, just like Emily. Down with Moxie! this is Kamil. bwahahahaha.
I hit blazing op butterfly.

Navy Pier was awesome. At one point nathan, freddy, and tony(!) were freestyling with brian. It was a great sight. I played good squares kinda. I flying clippered it over Nathan's head right into the square behind him. Zeke has a canon shot which strikes the outside of ur body then flys off or goes straight down after which is hard to play even when u know it's coming.

Beef sammmmmmmmiches!
