Am I the only one who...

Post by Switch Kicker »

... Absolutely hates popcorn?

At school, I see people line up at the vending machine to buy popcorn and then put them in one of the microwaves at the food room... And the smell makes me want to gag. It's absolutely rancid, in my opinion of course.

I can only eat buttery, salted, movie theatre popcorn, and it's very far and few between that I actually do like that kind of popcorn. Like, maybe once every two months I'll get a rare craving for it. Other than that, the smell and taste, texture and look of it makes me sick to my stomack.

Is this... like, weird, or is there anyone else that just loaths popcorn?

BTW, carmel covered popcorn, is teh shittzorz however.

Another hater here. I don't like one thing about it, it doesn't fill you up, doesn't taste good, smells putrid, gets stuck in your teeth.....

I am not a big fan of it either. I'll eat it every once in a while. Just like french fries, I usually just take some of someone else's, cuz I won't eat a whole serving or whatever. Sometimes I think microwave popcorn sounds like a good idea, and then I usually regret eating it later. It seems to give me a little headache for some reason. Sugar-coated popcorn is always good (chocolate, kettle, caramel...). :P

i like popcorn, i hate it when it gets stuck in your throat though. kettle corn is amazing by the way, especially if you get the kind from a fair where they cook it in that big pot

I can sit down and eat a whole bag of microwave popcorn, but it is probably because I was rasied by Indians.

Kettle Corn from Silver dollar city tastes really good. I only like butter popcorn and not plain. I guess when it gets stuck between ur teeth it gets annoying.

I never get the stuff from the theater just cuz its so freakin expensive. We usually try and sneak our own food in. I don't mind the microwaved stuff every now and then. Back in college though all the microwaves smelled of burnt popcorn. I hated being near the student lounges cuz the smell would make be nauseous.

i like to think of myself as the worlds biggest hater of popcorn,

it gets into ur teeth and doesn't come out, it costs alot at theaters, it doesn't even have a satisfying taste (like chips) it pretty much tastes like nothing unless you add tons of salt, it also burns if you dont mic it properly and homemade butter doesnt work well, the only time it tastes really good is like when it's in a package such as caramel covered, but even then it's cold, and still gets into ur teeth. (warming it up was a good idea however)

i mean one day i was eatin it, and a piece got jammed into my tooth, and i mean jammed. it took my 45 minutes and very bloody gums to get out, so i am never ever touching popcorn again!

Popcorn smells pretty awesome in my opinion. But doesn't taste like anything. If you put butter on it it tastes like... butter...

I agree. (About all that plus the chips thing.)

I can't stand chips. They have no flavor, can get logged in your throat, and you can poke your gums if one goes into your mouth wrong when you bite down, and they're fuckin' expensive as shit. Nearly a buck for a bag of like... 10 chips, wtf.

The only chips I can stand to eat/pay for are those multi grain sun chips... those are the only chips I've ever found appitizing, and I haven't put the corner of one through my gums yet, so it's all good for now.

I'll stick to my usual bottle of Dr. Pepper and two Heath candy bars for my movie theatre outings, which of course, I must sneak in, because the price for candy/pop is absolutely outrageous there.
