There I go again, only this time I've got no point to make about "real" records and whatnot.

"So," you might ask, "why is Jon being such a jerk? Why is he picking on poor Luis when he doesn't even really want those particular records anyway?"

I guess now I'm just curious to see how bad Luis really wants 'em.

Well, from one point of view its being mean. From another, I'm doing him a favor. The coolest records are the ones that are hotly contested. Records, easy records, that you hold only because nobody else could even be bothered to try for them also, are lame. Records get cool when you've really got to work and fight for them.

Take the Ripwalk record (95 - Alan Hagget) ; now THATS a records! And before it was so damn high, lots of people held the record, briefly, and many more tried to. The story as Alan tells it, if I recall it correctly, is that the record was much lower some years ago, and he was pleased to set a new high, but then somebody else came along and broke his record. So he went and set another new high, and soon after somebody came along and broke that record too, and eventually, he said, he just got sick of that non-sense and just went all out and pushed the number up out of reach of any but those with the greatest mastery AND the most dedication. Go Alan! He's the man! (no sarcasm, I'm totally serious). Thats what a record ought to be.

Anyway, I hope Luis doesn't get discouraged. I hope he gets even more determined. I hope he pushed the numbers up to something really impressive, though, for most basic kicks, I think, we're still a little ways from that.

I'm also glad he didn't decide to break my alternating insides or alternating toes record, and I'm also glad he did't go for a new same-side outside kick, 'cause that one can be killer on the hip. Ouch. I was sore last week.

If Luis really wants these records, he might consider waiting a couple weeks for me to lose interest in this whole thing before posting new numbers. On the other hand, I'll be pretty impressed if he comes back with new records, like, tomorrow...

I feel particularly bad right now, though, 'cause I heard they're having this awful ice storm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, today. People are dying in car wrecks, and lots of people have no electricity. I picked a pretty bad time to write all this crap. I guess I really must be a big jerk.

I've hit 9 "Symp" "Jesters" and 7 "Symp" inside kicks, but I'm not sure if either is individual from flying clipper and flying inside, which start and end with you planted on the contact leg anyway.

Edit: Just noticed Atomic Pickup is wrongly placed under 4 adds.

I asked Luis to come up with as many new records for the World Records List as he could. That is why some seem petty. I just wanted the list to represent as many unique repeatable tricks as possible. Thanks Luis.

Jonathan your attitude towards Luis seems odd to me.
I don't appreciate your attitude towards my records page because I think it's actually rather accurate.
I do appreciate all the excellent records you've set and the 804 inside kick record that you have brought to my attention. Thanks.

to stay on topic: i have no new records. but i'm working on some. i hit 12 blurry whirls, so 50% of a new record ;o), and 129 ducking clippers, which took me a good step closer to the record i want the most...

Lon go out and try as many jesters same foot as you can,then try them symposium style.You know there're different.It's way harder.

I tend to agree with you on this. But the thing is, a lot of these records had a big fat "1" in them before Luis started posting his. At least now many of the categories have something, even if they are not "worthy" of a record. We gotta start somewhere...

Outside kick same foot - 226 (this fricking burns when you start out sore)
Outside kick op foot - 235+, can't remember exactly (but I know I can get 1000, and will do so before posting it on .org).
