How long does it would take to get back into shape?

Post by Sergey »

It turns out there are four footbag players in Halifax and I'm very excited about that. I haven't played for like a year, but really want start playing again. I was wondering how long do you guys think it would take me to get back into shape? Any tips are also appreciated.

I really appreciate the time you take to reply.

It is all relative and dependent upon your efforts and standards of "being in shape". Everytime you exercise you get stronger so results will be evident within day(s) if you work hard at it, but it would take a lifetime to reach your full potential. With that in mind my answer is, as quick as you are willing to work for. Hope this helps.

it's different for all players. don't worry about it. just play. use what you've got, and go from there. if you're having trouble, work on basic repeat combos. your past experience can only help you.

I've quit and started again many times. Tips? Take the opurtunity to get to the bottom of any aspects that you weren't happy with in your game. Just a thought.

You might find it doesn't take long to get back up to your top game.

Don't worry, be happy!!

Just play dude!

I've been getting into shape my whole life. :) I was in the Army, 3 yrs, even that didn't get "into Shape" yeah I could carry a 60 pound ruck sack with 15lbs helmet a 30 lbs fully automatic M249SAW, a vest (apx 10lbs, 30 with ammo) Chemical suit and mask (15-20lbs), and more like water (15-20lbs extra stuff) and huff it 12 miles though tank trails (curned up dirt roads with deep track lines). I could do it in 2 hours, you get 4. I'm still not "in shape". So don't worry about all that in shape stuff, just play dude.

No, I'm pretty sure that would be considered "in shape".

Wait! .......

Ya, that would definitely be considered "in shape".

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

thanks, but I forgot to mention the army wants me at my height (5 foot 8 inches) to be 175 lbs. I was 230. I'm 200-210 now (it changes like crazy). Sorry I missed my point on that post a little. But thanks for comp. :)
