Alan's Challenges

Post by Pyroman924 »

Ok, so I've decided it's finally time to start up a challenge thread for myself. I've read that this'll give me a big boost in my game and that's all the convincing I need. I'm up for anything, as long as it's within my playing level at the time. My current playing level is pretty much tiltless though my move diversity isn't where I'd like it to be. If you want a good idea of what I can hit regularly right now then check this video out if you haven't: http://fizzied.phasing.org/JanuaryShred.wmv

I can also hit a swirl, whirl, Hop-Over Swirl, and some other ones from time to time. But right now I'm trying to focus on my Flipside and 2's and 3's. Ok, enough rambling, challenge me.

(Please include Job's notation if using a nickname.)

**EDIT: I love raking moves so if you have some special ones, let me know about them! :D

Doh, I already forgot to check this! :x We have a snow day today, unfortunatelt as it was an exam day, but I'll try to knock out the 30 Clipper and the 20 Butterflies today if I can. It's nice and cold, about mid 30's so it's perfect for shred. I'll let you know how it turns out! Oh, forgive my lapse of newbishness but infinities are back to back Butterflies yes? Or something a little simpler?

Yes, they're back to back butterflies.

How about: butterfly>osis>mirage repeat times 4....

By the way, Underhill, that's the name Frodo takes on when he doesn't want to be recognised in Breeg. Okay, forgive my geekishness :)

Ok, thanks. I'll try that out as well! And no problem buddy. I get it all the time. And do you mean Gyro Osis or just an opposite foot Osis? Oh hell, I'll just do both.

Uh oh I thought I was being original. What a mistaka to maka!

Anyways, yeah I meant just opposite foot osis. But don't let that keep you from doing both if you can 8O .

Bah, it's no problem. :) I didn't get to shred yesterday unfortunately but I have a check list made for my next session. I can almost hit Butterfly>Osis>Mirage on my flipside, and I hit Butterfly>Osis>Mirage at school today strong side. I also hit Butterfly>Gyro Osis>Mirage strong side as well. I hit about 10 back to back Clippers as well. New record for me. ; ) I plan on upping that my at least 5 more this weekend and I'll be shooting for 15 back to back Butterflies as well. It'll take a bit but I'll get it eventually. Thanks for all the challenges too, much more than I expected!

Ok, had a session for the first time since Thursday... I knocked out 100 consecutive toe stalls. I managed 14 back to back Clippers but my left foot was being a pussy today so yeah. I didn't try to many Infinities or even regular Butterflies tonight. I was concentrating more on my left foot Clippers and my Flipside 2 ADD moves. Mainly Legover, Pickup and ATW's mid-string.

Here are a few drills to work on your bothsidedness. All the rpt combos should work both sides (if they don't you're probably doing them wrong)

 Legover > Mirage > rpt for 12 contacts
 Clipper > Near Pickup > rpt for 12 contacts
 Illusion BSOS in a 10+ contact tiltless run
 Mirage > SS Mirage (downtime pixie) > rpt for 12 contacts
 Clipper > Near Mirage > rpt > Clipper > Far Legover > rpt

When I do the Mirage> Pixie drill. Do you want a Pixie set? Or a downtime Pixie?

Mirage > Legover > Mirage > Legover > Illusion > Pickup > Illusion > Pickup (this is really hard, try to rpt!)

Ducking Toe Stall > Mirage (Rpt.)

Ducking Legover > Ducking Mirage (Rpt.)

Pixie > Fairy (Rpt.) (gotta get you up on the pixie revolution man!)

Good luck. Give me some.
