I played solo today, which surprisingly turned out as a sweet session. I played for more then 2 hours, and that doesn't happen very often when I'm alone. I did some runs, schooled some concepts, but mostly focused on drills

I advanced through the list, here are the drills that stood out:

Gyro DLO > Whirl (rpt)
Diving Whirl > Drifter (rpt)
Drifter > Whirr (rpt)
Rev Swirl > Twirl (rpt)

I was especially happy about the last one, because when I got to it I thought "Ok, this will take a while" but strangely I've hit it really fast

Other then the drills above, I've hit some other new stuff, like Ripwarrior > Janiwalker BS. The bad news are that the current drill I'm stuck on is...
Gyro Barrage > Paradon (rpt)
Who the hell thought that one up?!

I'll have to school my Barrages a lot to hit this one. Today I did some work with them and hit Gyro Barrage BS and Blurrage BS. I think that drilling consecutive Toe Barrages will help me heaps.

Other then that I was kinda close to Symp. Twirl b2b a few times. Later I just did some random strings to cool tracks, it was pretty fun, but I got tired fast

I'm really happy about hitting that first drill, as I can proceed with the list! The one that I'm working on now is Pdx Tap > Legbeater (rpt). Hopefully with some practice I'll be able to hit it

Other then that I played some Liero today, and it was fun. Liero rocks

And tommorow is Christmas Eve!

Solid 3 hour session, I played with PaweÅ‚ and Olaf. I've hit a new, cool trick - Whirling ss Symp. Twirl

I worked on my Spins too, and actually I've found a new way to do them. I stopped doing the small hop that I've done before and it resulted in a much smoother spin

Almost like Louis Monhollon

I've hit two other tricks that I haven't hit for a long time - Croxton and Montage. We played some doubles with Olaf too, and it seems that we forgot a lot of the stuff that we used to do

Maybe the crew from Strzelin will visit us and we'll have a session together, that would be cool.

Session at Worcella gym today, me and Rozo showed up and shredded it up for 2 hours. I schooled some of my weaker kicks, like flip sole and flapper kick. My flip calf kick was working pretty well, that was nice. Later on my flip stepping set started to suck again, and I almost got angry because of it. Schooling ss clip > stepping clip (rpt) helped and eventually it got better

Rozo hit some new stuff, like Tombstone BS - this guy is going to be so good! I hit one new trick which was Fairy ss DLO, that's one of Jorden's signature moves so it was a cool feeling to nail it, especially that I never do Fairy. I worked my Symp. Twirls a lot, and I'm slowly getting the hang of them. Today I focused on trying different techniques, experimenting with leg positions and hip angles. The best conclusion that I got was waiting till the last moment before loosing sight with the bag. I noticed that I can pretty much finish the dex without starting to turn and that helps with the Osis part. I think that advice works with other Osis moves, especially when they are fully downtime. In the end I talked with my friend who is into breakdancing, and he showed me some sick moves

He got one circle of Windmill, and some other stuff that I don't even know how to call. He taught me some new footwork tricks so that was cool too.

you probably heard this once or twice before, but you really do have very nice double downs and whirls !

keep shredding hard and props to you and the whle wroclaw scene for
the consistent awesomeness - but one riddle remains :
where the hell do you find all these new talents ?

Session with just me and Budzik at the Worcella gym. One new drill:

PS Whirl > DDD (rpt)

In the middle of the session I was trying PS Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl (rpt), but I couldn't hit it. I passed the bag to Damian, and he hit it first try

It was actually the first time he attempted the drill haha. This guy can shred

Other then that I schooled my Symp. Twirl, and hit a bunch of them both sides. Then a few Blenders. And afterwards I just shuffled away. There was also one nice moment, when I hit Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Blurriest > Blurriest, and all the sets and delays felt ROCK solid. Like I was in total control

Cool feeling. DLO's are cool. I had one run with Alpine Blurry Drifter, Alpine Blurry Whirl, and dropped on Leviathan attempt. All strongside though. I almost finished a new vid, I think it should upload over night, so I'll post it tommorow.

Thanks for the wishes! Yeah, I have my 19th birthday today

My schoolmates surprised me today, as they somehow remembered about it and sang me "happy birthday" - that was nice

I got a lot of wishes from the members of the polish scene, so thanks for that too, it definitely made my day!

I went to the gym as well, predicting a solo session, as Rozo got sick and Budzik is not visiting us often these days. When I got there, and was changing, I realized that my footbag is missing. I must have lost it somewhere - bad news. I only had some crappy Starburst bags with me, so I started to juggle, since I had nothing better to do

After a couple of minutes though, a guy that I havent's seen for a really long time arrived. It was Peruka, a net player that had a break from playing but now decided to start training again. Soon we started to kick a Net Bag around. I haven't played net for a long time, but I was doing ok, my flip outside kicks were working quite well. We had a few good rallies, but mostly we were chasing the net bag and picking it up

Later my friend Marcin, who is a breakdancer showed up, so I switched from Net to break and had lots of fun. Learned some new stuff too. The music wasn't very good (we only had a small radio) so mostly I just schooled technical things. Breakdancing is definitely a cool thing to do, as long as you are careful, because it's really easy to injure yourself while performing harder moves.

So I had a footbag session with almost no footbag. I need to get a new bag soon.

Thanks for the wishes Daryl and Isilwar! So a couple of things happened since I posted here for the last time. I had studniÃ³wka, which is the party 100 days before the final exams and it totally rocked! I had so much fun, danced the whole night and enjoyed every minute of it

Everyone was super elegant, something to look at

But of course all the good things end, and now I just think about the final exams. If I screw up I won't get to the university. I will write History, Knowledge of Society, Polish and English. If everything goes well I'll have enough poits to be accepted at Law here in WrocÅ‚aw's university. So pretty much I just study a lot, and that means less footbag. It seems that I lost some of my motivation, but I think it's temporary. Anyway, I hit some new stuff on my last session:

There's a pretty big series of demos for a beer company Å»ywiec going on for the next two months, and I'm the guy that will be going to all of them. It's advertised on the TV, and internet so I hope to get some good exposure for footbag. The first demo is in Karpacz (south of WrocÅ‚aw) this Friday. RafaÅ‚ Kaleta is going with me, I hope everything will run smooth.

I think I'm getting closer to the state of mind that is the best for practice. I feel like I'm loosing my desires, so now I just need to stay focused and practice regularly.

I hit some new stuff today, here it is:

Fog > Toe Blur and Fog > DSO to runs
Bedwetter > Quantum Legover BSOS

The second one felt really nice because I've never tried this link before and it worked first try on both sides.

About the demos - they went good, the first day in Karpacz was really windy, and for a few moments we felt like the tent was going to fly

But thankfully we survived. There was a guy on the microphone announcing us and setting the crowd on fire

Audience seemed to like footbag, they got really loud when we started a "duel". Half of the hall was cheering up for me and the other half for RafaÅ‚ as we did consecutive tricks till one of us dropped the bag.

The accomodation was nice too (it was warm, that was almost enough for us haha), the first day we ate dinner at some pizza place, and the second day in Szklarska PorÄ™ba some Kebab. This weekend I'm visiting Szczyrk (haha I wonder how you would pronounce it

) and WisÅ‚a. It should be all right.

Yesterday we had a session at Morskie Oko, because we can only shred at Worcella gym at Tuesdays and Sundays. There were four people shredding and the session lasted for about 3,5 hour, so pretty long

We played some four square, and it was great - I haven't played it since the last bigger tournament outside Poland. Shred-wise I did some new stuff, like a run with both Fogs, Stepping ss DLO and Smog, Bedwetter > Phoenix and 5 Atomsmashers. I schooled Osii as well, and hit 66 of them once.

We also did some Doubles with Olaf again, and even figured out some new tricks and links. If only we had the motivation to school harder

And since PaweÅ‚ had his camera with him yesterday here are some photos of me schooling the "lazy style"

Thanks for the post Matt! I just came back from the trip and I'm happy with how it went. The first day we went to Szczyrk, the trip took 6 hours, so longer then we expected. Because of that we were a little late

but thankfully everything was just beeing set up so we still had time to get changed and warm up. This time we were treated better then on the last trip, there was some free food and drinks for us, and the tent crew tried to make us feel comfortable

Soon the crowd started to gather and we had our first entry. There were about 300 people in the tent, firt we talked a bit about footbag, it's origin, how it got to Poland and stuff. Then our music kicked in and we started with an easy synchro, then some shred, doubles, unusuals, more shred and a synchro finish. The audience seemed to like it and cheered as we got off the stage. The second entry had some more shred, and then we invited some people from the audience to try some kicks and stalls - some people got into it and won some stuff from Å»ywiec (shirts, vacuum bottles). The third entry was our patented duel

As usual the crowd liked it a lot so it's definitely something to remember. The last entry started with a kicking contest, and the person with the most kicks won a brand new Starburst bag (thanks Dexter

). There was a kid who got about 15 kicks with soccer style toe kicks only - I wonder how good he would be if he got into footbag

After our show there was a band playing - they were called SOFA and were pretty good, some of their songs could even be good for shred

Soon the party ended and I realized that my jacket was stolen, along with my cap and gloves

I borrowed a jumper from MichaÅ‚ and somehow got to the hotel through the freezing air outside. It was only 10 minutes far so I survived. There were some problems with our room but finally we got the keys and finished the day.
The next day we met the DJ that was spinning at the party, and he said that we can drive with him to WisÅ‚a, as he was also going there. That way we saved some money and got to WisÅ‚a pretty quick. At the place it turned out that there were a performance of a band called Hey. They are pretty famous in Poland so everyone were just focused on preparing the show. We were told that we'll only get one entry after the band, so we just hang around with shredders from Cieszyn - Woras and Kiper - who came to visit us - props guys

We played a lot of table soccer, talked about Kevin Ragamey and all the crazy stuff he is hitting, and then listened to the band - the performance was pretty cool, and we had seats right by the stage

After they finished we did our demo, and it worked all right. The tent crew gave away lots of stuff as prizes and the audience was happy

Overall the trip was a success, even though I lost my jacket. There is only one demo left, in Szczawnica. It's really far away but from what we've heard the people there are nice so I'm sure it will be ok.

Lots of footbag today - in the morning me and PaweÅ‚ went to Wilczyce near WrocÅ‚aw and did 3 hour footbag workshops in a public school there. There were about 10 people attending, and surprisingly half of them were girls - we did a small freestyle demo for them, and then taught them some basic kicks and delays with promo bags that I had with me. They seemed to pick it up pretty fast, and soon we were circle kicking. Then there was some Golf, which our students

liked a lot, some 4 Square, and a final Golf course after which every one of them got a bag for their own. In the end we did another "demo", because we wanted to do some shred

In the evening there was our normal session at the Worcella gym, PaweÅ‚, Adam, Wojtas arrived, and soon we were joined by Budzik and Å¹rebak (a shredder from Warsaw who visited us) so it was a nice session. We had a circle going on for basically whole time. I think I figured out another detail about my bad flip Clipper technique, so it's another step towards getting them equal. Highlights from the session would be hitting Alpine Blurry Drifter first try, and a run with Smear > Pixie Legover (rpt) and Blubberman - hooray for flip toe

I'm thinking about visiting Strzelin tommorow to pay a visit to Ostrowski bros, but we'll see if it happens.
