January whatever it is 2007

I haven't posted on this in a while. Haven't posted much on this shitty forum for a while actually.

I feel bad for people who think this place is what freestyle is about. This place is a waste.

I read shit on here and just can't even guess what people are thinking when they post. If you aren't contributing to footbag as a whole, delete your post. I feel bad for newbies who find modified how it is now.

I hate bitching about problems when I don't have any plans to fix them, but you really can't fix a bunch of people who just post trash and don't know what's up.

Sorry if modified is your life, but go to a tournament and then know what's up. Know that footbag is about 4 hour sessions hitting things when you can't even lift your legs. Know that footbag is about making friendships that go beyond the circle. Learn about freestyle and realise who's actually good and who isn't, and don't just be a stupid follower. Watch videos hundreds of times and don't just take shit for granted, because people put a lot of time into them.

I'll still post because this is the only mass way to keep in touch with people, but man sometimes I just wish I wasn't reading what I am.

I remember receiving the .org email listserve that arrived in the email pre forum days, and reading almost every email. I think as footbag is getting bigger perhaps signal to noise ratio lessens. I actually don't read much except blogs and good threads I'm told about nowadays. Could you PM me a bad post or topic so I know more specifiacally what you mean. I dunno, maybe a weird request.

Considering there is over 2000 members on this forum, if you actually try to read a good part of the posts, you will obviously find a lot of idiocy.

My point is, anywhere you go, and that includes real life, if you listen to every conversation in a 2000 people radius, you will eventually find a lot of shit.

About the footbag note, nobody has the same view of footbag, I like the "kicking solo for 4 hours even tough you can't lift your legs", but for some others it's just a small hobby, some will only play for a couple of months, some to make new friends or just to party.

Just keep in mind many footbaggers just come and go, not all of them are passionate about it, and that we cannot force them to be.

On the other hand, it's also good to have someone that bitches about the ones who do not take it seriously, as a wake up call, and a reminder that some people have deep feelings for this sport, and that's what it's truly about.

Good thing footbag has a David Clavens.

Thanks for always being honest about your toughts.

Many footbaggers are plagued by the crabs, having as many as a small ocean. When hitting bigger tricks these crabs provide extra stamina and control, but be wary, as these friendly ocean dwellers do not attract the ladies. Some crab owners experience itching and irritation, but to most that is a sign of vitality and potence. Be strong young crab keeper, for you are one of the chosen few!
I forgot who posted that, but I know what you mean about people posting a bunch of waste. It's a shame people put so much time and effort into describing fictional crab stories. Anyways, take care and if I somehow have some left over money, I'll drive to Bethlehem, where the star was born.

I posted this in new runs but only one person thought it was good enough to merit a responce. But for remembering purposes, I'm posting it in here, because it is something I am proud of.

That was freaking insane David, props! I checked a little late after I noticed you had made a post and then edited it (in the new runs thread).
