David's World Drill Record List - updated monday
David's World Drill Record List - updated monday
So today I was doing some drills and I was curious as to how many contacts of these drills others had done. Thus, this thead idea was born. It will hopefully follow lon's in popularity and everyone will enjoy it. Basic provisions are these: popular drills so they relate to mostly everyone, at smallest level 3>3 repeat (I don't think we need to track mirage>legover repeat), max of 3 tricks (no 4>4>4>4>4>4 repeat). When talking about drills like step ss whirl>mullet repeat, many people have hit 4 contacts of it, so I won't add it for now. Once someone says they've hit 5, then it can go up.
Also, most posts should be more than just the drill one time through, (5 contacts or more for a 4 trick drill), unless it is hugely massive, like mullet>wind repeat (klouda, champions league), because no one else has hit that (I think).
Anyway, if you think this idea sucks, sorry, but I think this will help people 1) push themselves 2) find new good drills to school.
I will update this list as we get more drills, for now here are ones off the top of my head (most I have done, and if someone has done more, speak up).

Great idea, but I have a feeling this list is going to be ridiculously big.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Re: David's World Drill Record List
You are correct. Haggett told me he hit one short of 6 Rubberman's a long time ago... That would make 35 contacts.david wrote: 4>4>4
rubberman - 20 contacts - David Clavens (i know someone has beat this)

Those are nuts David - whirr>ripwalk x12
The only drill I can think of that may be worthy of record list is pixie tap>pixie atomsmasher; 7 contacts.
Apart from that I have countless easy shuffle drills like crispy dlo>parkwalk, blur>park>rip, tap>atom etc. - edit: my initial figure was just a rough estimate - and way over the top - between 5 and 20 full reps depending on the drill. - I count 6 contacts of rubberman as 0 reps. (12 contacts is one full rep etc.) - my rubberman record is exactly 30 contacts.
edit2: bogus. What is wrong with me today - 6 contacts is a full rep, 12 is 2 reps, 30 is 5 reps.
Anyway what I said before, but accidentally edited out, is that I'm sure none of those shuffle drills are records. I set the rep amount before I attempt the drill usually.

just to cut down on your work load and maintenance of the list i think any thing with a BOP in it should be removed. i'm not saying that they aren't hard drills, obviously a person requires alot of muscular and cardiovascular endurance to perform them into high numbers, but that they are not (for the most part) as challenging skill wise. and with just BOPs you can rearrange them
butterfly> far osis> pdx mirage> rpt
butterfly> pdx mirage> osis> rpt
pdx mirage> ss butterfly> osis> rpt
ss butterfly> pdx mirage> ss osis> prt
and so on...
then the list becomes even bigger as you replace osis with torque, dyno, blender, or pdx mirage with pdx illusion, dlo, pdx dlo, eggbeater or butters with dimwalks, park walks, stepping clipper, etc.
butterfly> far osis> pdx mirage> rpt
butterfly> pdx mirage> osis> rpt
pdx mirage> ss butterfly> osis> rpt
ss butterfly> pdx mirage> ss osis> prt
and so on...
