The Real Party

Post by QuantumBalance »

----
Are you real?

Or, are you just another number in a system?
Are you a statistic? Are you a tarket market?
Are you a voter demographic?

Some of those questions shouldn't make you too comfortable answering 'Yes'. Yet, the two most dominant poltical parties are creating a government based upon a set of cultural values that don't align with the current technological revolution.

I can speak for most of the World when I say We need a change!

The technological revolution has just begun in the grand history of our planet, yet has spead and evolves faster than anything we have ever seen! Our system of government has become a crux of debt and failure. Can you believe that we are at WAR with other nations for resources? No matter what the news says, JUST ASK AROUND AND YOU WILL HEAR MANY DIFFERNT TRUTHS ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING. This indicates foul play. For sure!

What we need is a NEW political party to fairly enter the system and repair the errors in the human society. We need to repair ourselves and take control of the REIGNS TO THIS PLANET. You all realise we are sitting on a huge chunk of matter with a powerful core and an atmosphere and with the right dedication it is just WAITING TO BE HARNESSED by the human race.

You all realise, I hope, that the population is expanding exponentially, yet our minds are cluttered with Sales Pitches, Bills, and War. Our collective Psychology has not kept up with our collective Capacity for Destruction.

There is much work to be done.

I submit to you this idea: formation of The 'Real Party', first in concept, then in legality, for the purpose of saving the planet through Governmental Reform, Scientific research, and Psychological Improvement.

Things likes spending less on "Defence" AKA war and more on Education and Trade, Scientific research and Wholistic Medicine.

All this Campagn financing that influences law and CORPORATE LAW and pollution and corruption, are simply INTOLERABLE. We, as a PEOPLE should not accept these INJUSTICEs. I rally you to declare yourself a member of the Real Party, even thought is isn't even real. We shall MAKE IT REAL. We shall CREATE IT and become a Fair and Noble People.

We will venture into the Stars as an EnLIGHTENED People, instead of Generations of Space battles we will be explorers... like Star Trek!!

Well, as you can see, I have high hopes. But, we shall never reach the reality of SciFi if we can't heal our Corrupted Global Society.

Please declare your affirmation to the Real Party, we will return the reigns of government to the Locals, and the masses. We will be fair and educated. We might even have some fun?

Be real. Peace!

Signed,
Samuel Lindley Colclough

What's good for us, is good for me!

Sign and Spread! HELLO WORLD!

Sounds like a great idea.

It might be easier to buy our own small country and then work our way from there.

Adding another party would be really difficult and might not be effective enough.

I just wanted to create an idea. If the idea is the right one at the right time, people will propel the idea themselves.

And it is a good and possable idea.

Everyone should add any input they have because all of our minds together are better than any 1.

Are you real?

I feel that way
Or, are you just another number in a system?
If I am a number, I don't know which one, so no.
Are you a statistic? Are you a target market?
Yeah.
Are you a voter demographic?
Yeah. Turned 18 in December.

This thread is pointless. You're real enough to me even if you are a demographic, and whatever you do in the political/social/economic realm doesn't change that.

1) It makes no sense to create a new political party to "align" our "cultural values" with the "current technological revolution." For "why," read below.

2) The cause of our planet going to shit IS the technological revolution. Why would we make a political party to embrace even more technology than the current political parties already embrace? This would simply speed up the process of shitifying our already shitty country.

3) What we need is a new mindset (political party as you call it) that is free of the shackles of current technology. Who the fuck needs to know if there is other life in outer space bazillions of light years away from us, and why the fuck is my money being spent on that stupid conquest? How is that going to help us here, now? Its just wasting time, money, and current resources.

Senor, are you suggesting that we dedicate all of our current resources to solving this world's current problems before we undertake the pursuit of this otherworldly and useless knowledge?

Can I take it from this suggestion that you are not in favor of a space program?

Can I actually expect any response to these baited questions?

Is this thread being deliberately hijacked?

Technology IS the cause of many problems, but it CAN also be the solution. If you can't see that then you are blind.

The delay of technological advancement and peoples ignorance is what is destroying our country/world.

Sam, please explain how technology and its advancement can be the solution to our world's problems. Please try to use real world examples so I can better understand your vision.

Re: Space exploration-

I truly do believe humans are wasting their time and money (for the most part) on exploring space. I understand the whole "save our planet by finding out mre about others" argument, but it just doesn't seem to be producing the returns we would hope for.

Spending just a few of the Space program's BILLIONs of dollars to feed some African people or rebuilding a war-torn region of the world would be a far better use of this world's resources. Don't you think Sam?

It is much easier to use advances in technology for bad than good. The more we learn about combating viruses and diseases the easier it is for people to make biological weapons, the more we learn about nuclear physics the easier it is to make weapons. The first time that fusion was ever used on earth for the detonation of the H-bomb and we still have absolutely no way to use fusion as a power source, but we do have enough hydrogen bombs to destroy the world.

The fact is that your "cultural values" are not shared by the majority of the world, probably not even the majority of the united states and theres no way that this policy of yours could solve the worlds problems.

We already have the technology to reduce every car's emmissions. We already have the technology to build clean power plants.

Instead of taking money from the space program to feed the people, we should divert money from "defence" spending.

you're not the first person that's ever thought about a new political party. there are a lot more that you never hear about because all you do ever hear about is republican, democrat, and every once in awhile, how weird ralph nader is. and because of people's ignorance, and strong sectionalism that washington warned us against, republican and democrat are the only parties you will ever hear about and will be the only ones ever voted in. voting third party really is throwing your vote away. i heard that independent votes or green votes have been rising a little, but i still don't think it's enough. the main problem with our government is we all want to vote for the best candidate, but he/she never runs. it costs millions to advertise, which pretty much means you can buy your way in. what we really do need is a down-home, blue-jeans, t-shirt kinda person with integrity and brains, and the power to govern the will of the people justly, but that'll never happen considering even the people nowadays that claim to be 'the average joe' are lying [politics] that have already been corrupted by the political machine (they have to be to get enough money to run, think 'mayor, governer, representative, senator, cabinet member, how much corruption do you think they see and how strong is their will before they give in?'). and think realistically, how is the 'real party' going to ever gain enough members to even run for president?

on another unrelated note, i think hillary running for president is just a stupid-ass gimmick. all the democrats will vote for her because democrats vote democrat most of the time, and all the women will vote for her because they want to see a woman in the white house. and all the people that think "hmm.. well i do like bill clinton, maybe i like hillary" or "hmm.. maybe a woman should be president" will vote for her. everyone will vote for the wrong reasons, which makes everyone complain, which makes people argue, which makes people unhappy.

maybe if naming parties became illegal.. hm, i think i'm going somewhere. that would mean no more "my daddy is a republican so i am too," and no more voting for the wrong person just because they're the same party as you; you'd have to vote for the person who you think would fit your beliefs the best. it would also mean that people wouldn't be throwing away their third party votes, so more candidates would run which would mean it would be more likely for an honest person to get into the white house (jesus christ, no!) but that wouldnt ever become a law, and they'd still snake around it by saying stuff like "i'm running for the good of the country." idk, i'm really tired and i'm typing this all on a whim, so if anything i said was wrong, tell me and i'll correct it. l8er

Well, it's not like I'm really gonna do anything more to create the Real Party. It was more an outlet for my ideas... such that technological advancement has surpassed our ability to implement it. And I agree with you fully that party dumbdownification and campagning is evil. So, enjoy your lives kids!! :)

Well I am serious.

Get the right people involved, pool assets, buy our own small country and then we can lead by example.
Focus on; schooling (train and select real teachers), public well being, alternate forms of energy.

Convince a few scientists to move in and more will come. Bingo, a new country and way of life are born.

I know, it sounds all but impossable but 100 years ago, todays life may have also seemed impossable.

And it could all begin here, on a footbag forum.

A nation populated mostly by footbaggers? 8O I don't know... Maybe it would be a nice place to visit, by I sure as hell wouldn't want to live there!

Sorry, fatbagger, I couldn't resist taking that shot. Don't take it too hard.
