4th annual Montana Freestyle Jam • April 27-29

The 4th annual Montana Freestyle Jam will be happening in Missoula, MT Friday April 27 - Sunday April 29th. This event has been gathering more and more momentum each year. It's my favorite festival of the year (albeit, I'm a little biased).
The Freestyle Jam is a collaborative display of freestyle arts. Juggling, Footbag, Fire Poi, Breakdancing, Slacklining, Skating, Kayaking (yes, we have a kayak wave at our event site), & Martial Arts demos will all have a hand in this year's event.

Saturday will be a day of demonstration and workshops to educate the public on all our particular activities. Live music will be played, excellent local beer will be sold, food will be sold, and an infinite supply of water will be available (and I'm not talking about the river). The event site will be the same as it was last year, Caras Park, which is the town's premiere event site, in my opinion. The event site is downtown and many people stumble into events they didn't even know was going on. "If you throw it, they will come."


Sunday will be a day focused on footbag. We will retreat out of public view into a grove tucked in the forest hills surrounding Missoula and do what we all love: playing footbag. For a video panorama of this grove, click here.

There will be a Jam party, with all freestylers invited Saturday night. I will take the utmost care at maintaining quality and enjoyability. There will be no host hotel as we will have crash places for EVERYBODY. It makes it more fun and cheaper for you.
I will edit this first post with the most up to date information I can gather and will add a new post when significant updates are added.

Thanks for everyone's quick response. It's good to see that interest is there. We really will have an amazing festival this year. I highly encourage anybody with any other special "abilities" to come down and help represent other facets of freestyle. I know practically every footbagger juggles, so that's taken care of.
