Yacine Merzouk "Style is Forever" Video

Post by blitz »

Howdy, I cut together a little vid-ditty of Yacine Merzouk that was hanging out in my vault for the past year-ish, shot mid-2005. It's dedicated to the ebb and flow of players in footbag. It's also a tribute to the best passer in footbag history. :)

I'm not liking the music.

Full Symp. Tap>BS Atom Smasher is one of the coolest drills ever.

Yacine's Scorpian's Tail looked spectacular.

Good camera angles.

Bravo.

Great Video.
cool filming, and the ending was done very nicely also

the only thing i didn't like was how some of the scenes were cut together
you had some runs where you zoomed in from far away and got closer to the player ... then when you cut to the next scene it was far away again

it would have been a bit better, i think, if you had only used that zoom technique once, and kept the rest of the shots closer and similar to the other ones

this is probably all because it was from one session and you threw this together, but i figured i'd give my opinion

thanks!

hey eli,

thanks for this sweet video. Yacine was a guru of style on the east coast for a long while... I'm glad to see these shots of him. I really liked blurry drifter > ps whirl > scorpion's tail.

thanks for another great video,

matt

Oh my God. ?>!>rpt??? That's just crazy.

The last move at the end was 8) Double downs looked really sweet too, like really wide and pronounced. What an amazing player.

And a very nice film. Thank you for that.

...flying clipper butt pass wasn't too shabby either  And stepping r****r midstring. Okay I'm done now. Seriously though. 8O

I tought the music was good, especially since it's in direct link with the video theme "style lives forever".

The video is great, and it also features one of my favorite shred spots in the summer.

Thanks Ellis

AWESOME, so sad I never had the chance to play with him here. Hope I'll see him at least once this summer. A really awesome player, I like his style so much! I have to say it again, TOO FRIKEN AWESOME.

And for the question about him, I know he don't play anymore too much, I heard he come sometime to shred during the summer.

eli, am i missing something here? "Players Come and Go" ??? Did Yacine pass on??? I know i haven't been around the forum a whole lot recently but i would like to think i would have heard about that...

thanks for the video! i'm a big fan of yax's and i know he was an inspiration to the early scene here in winnipeg.! there really isn't enough readily available footage of him anymore. i love the atomic crazyness he's so well know for.

again thanks for the video! i'm really glad i got the chance to hang out with him (read: keep him up all night with my drunken shinannigans while he had food poisoning) at GLASS before he died. May he rest in peace (?) :?

This video made me laugh a lot. I don't know why. Maybe the music? Nice to see some Yax stuff again. It's definitely a little weird and sad for me to see players who started later than I did leave the sport earlier than I did, but I think yacine is probably fine with leaving the sport, considering how much he accomplished. Podium in both events at 2003 is a hell of an achievement.

On the editing side, this somehow didn't feel as tight as the Mulroney and Ales sections, but I'm guessing not as much time was put into it. That said, the Mulroney video set a really high standard.

Thanks for making this.
