i also support anyone who wants to try to make and sell good quality bags. We need more people making good bags like freedoms cause most of the bags out there are horrible and pretty much unusable. so many people must get frustrated trying to kick crappy hacks that they wind up quitting while they would improve so much better if they have a good bag.

well its not that he is making bags that i dont like. more power too him. i (try) to do the same. but its that he comes onto the market new, with nobody but himself as a reviewer, and says that his bags are better than freedoms, and that we should buy them. Even though he uses a stiffer material, and copied their design. bullshit. complete and utter bullshit

He doesn't need any props Mez, take a look, he has the big 420 (thanks to me :-D) so he's set at the top of the props list.

And yeah Mez, I was gonna say the same thing about using the design. Stop getting all worked up about him using it Pete. I've seen the 4 panel design before online somewhere (way to many footbag sales site out the now, isn't it great?) and I actually have an 80's bag made out of a fake leather thats of course full to the brim in the old school fashion that is a 4 panel and often compare it to freedoms. I don't really think anyone will bother you if you use it, butit'll be a really tough time to beat Daryl.

And I thought you might play with Noah, but my shredder map in my brain isn't to clear lately. If he likes it, and posts so here, you should definately have some buyers. I'm pretty sure everyone whose been on the boards for a while or has met him respects noah, so his opinion will make a dif.

Only if that design is already patented and that seems pretty unlikely to me.

Actually, it's not stiffer material. It's just higher quality (as in, the weave doesn't become loose after a month.) When the bag is new it's extremely soft, and since it's a synthetic material, it never stiffens up.

Thanks for the advice, I've actually already sent a PM to Noah (and Red) about this. And yeah, he does indeed live in Portland! I didn't know about that design existing in the 80's, but now that I do I feel justified. I'm almost certainly going to get my website going. I agree that anyone would have a tough time beating the sales of Freedom bags, but that really isn't my goal. Hell, if I can sell 2% as many footbags as he does, I'd consider it a major sucess. Even if 5 people ordered 1 bag each, I would be overjoyed! There's nothing quite as exciting as selling somthing to someone that you have made from scratch. It means that someone feels that what I made with my own hands is good. So good, that they're willing to trade hard earned cash for it. I felt this when I sold my first bag, and still do every time. But anyway, my point is is that I'm not trying to wrest control of the footbag market. Just doing what I love doing.

Thanks again to everyone, I've recieved a lot of support from many people here, and it really did make a difference. I'll post a new message on the board when I get the site up and running! :)

You know, that's really ironic, because I am actually trying to sell my car! If you know anyone who needs a '97 Honda Civic EX (coupe) let me know! :o

I know I'd be willing to try out the bag. I am always excited to try new stuff out. PM me, and I will try to make arrangements to get one of your bags dude. :)

I think it's a good thing for this new design. How about this: You don't really have to worry about it getting raped (at least too badly) in school circles because it's a tough material, yet it's soft and stallable enough to shred with it.
