Boston and other cities-targets of Moonajuana Terror Attack!
I'm sure everyone heard about this. pretty stupid, eh? yeah, i agree. as soon as i saw what the "terror hoaxes" looked like on the news, i started laughing. and yeah yeah yeah, i know it COULD have been a bomb, blah blah blah, but from what i've heard since:
A. The mayor, governor, and their terror task force knew it was a hoax at about 2:30 in the afternoon and of course decided to just let everyone else believe otherwise...might as well get a good terror response drill out of it, even if it costs tax-payers millions, is apparently what they were thinking.
B. Where the devices were located generally wouldnt do a whole lot of damage to the structures they were attached to.
C. Why would a bomb have a small cartoonish character on it, even if you dont recognize it as a cartoon character, why would someone who actually wanted a bomb to go off draw attention to it by illuminating a small character in LED lights on it? possibly for increased terror effect or something, but its kind of illogical.
so i didnt hear too much about the reactions in other cities...anyone know any interesting news about that? any other opinions?

Mooninites reassemble, duplicate and annihilate
LED lights frighten me. I'm going to offer an anonymous tip to my local police authorities about my dubious feign of ignorance against a two-dimensional, 8-bit cartoon character.

I can't believe it's even called a "terrorist hoax" - there was clearly no intention of making people think that it was a terrorist attack, and the advertisements look nothing like bombs. I expect that next time I play footbag and leave my backpack sitting on the ground a few feet away from where I'm playing, I'll be arrested and have my bag blown up to avoid a potential terrorist threat. This kind of paranoia is ridiculous.

Tom "Mumbles" Menino, the mayor of the city of Boston is in my opinion an absolute moron. The guy can barely speak English. I can't believe he's still mayor. He doesn't have the mental capacity to hold any elected office.
If anyone has ever heard of the radio DJs Opie & Anthony in New York City that now have their own syndicated show and crap... interesting story behind them. In the mid 90s they were radio DJs on WAAF in Massachusetts, and on April Fools day 1997 they did a prank where they were telling everyone that Mayor Menino had died in a drunk driving accident in the Caribean where he drove his car into a telephone pole or something like that. Well of course it was a just an April Fools joke, but that didn't stop good old Mumbles from getting them fired and have their radio licenses revoked in Massachusetts. So what did they do? They moved to New York and now have a very successful radio show over there. Friggin Mumbles got the best two DJs in Massachusetts kicked out and moved them over to our rival yankee loving mofos, New York City. WTF!!!!!
So yeah, Mayor Menino. You can't take a joke (probably because your pebble sized brain can't process one), and further more, you suck

It's a major waste in the tax payer's money. We're just one year away from the '08 presidency and this shit had to happen.
Seriously, couldn't we wait until we elected a new presidential candidate into office and then waste it all on something ridiculous? That's been the prevalent strategy in the Bush (and even in the Clinton) administration.

yeah, menino's a serious doofus. i havent decided yet on deval patrick, but as usual its a lot of big promises and i havent seen anything yet, granted he's only been in office for exactly one month, but the game he was talking...so far all he has done is help run the most expensive drill of boston's terror response system ever
still, he wont have to try hard to be better than mitt romney's performance as governor...pretty much we just didnt hear anything from him, except the few times he spoke out to...change his stance back and forth on gay marriage, abortion, and a few other hot-button topics. be warned america, do not allow mitt romney to enter the oval office. it would be a large large mistake.

Most people in America don't even know who Mitt Romney is. I wouldn't lost sleep over the possibility of him becoming president. Oh and on the current subject: all of this paranoia over terrorism really seems foolish to me. But then again most anyone who follows the news knows that Terrorism is mostly just a distraction.

yeah, i know he's an unknown. but he was an unknown in MA while running for governor and look what happened. i know he is a long shot for president, but still...its just a warning.
the govt. may use terrorism as a distraction, but those who actually do it consider it something slightly...more...
sorry, first drunk/buzzed post ever, im not sure exactly how it reads.
edit-
haha, rereading this two hours later, i have no idea what i meant when i said "the govt. may use terrorism as a distraction, but those who actually do it consider it something slightly...more..."
literally, no idea.
