Does Footbag get ya girlies?

so heres my insight.

playing footbag wont get you girls. period. what gets girls is how you act. act stupid, get stupid girls. act smart, get smart girls. act like an asshole, and sleep alone.

footbag will more than likely destroy a regular relationship. (when the girl dosent care for footbag). because you end up spending more time with those little fucking bags than with your woman. remember my marriage? there ya go.

so be a gentleman, speak softly, and use good judgment with hygiene, and you may just yet find some girl to make your (not footbag) dreams come true.

now, if you do find a girl that will footbag, dont blow it. chances are, they are genuinely interested in you. once they see how much you love that little bean bag, and they stick around, you better do everything you can to make her happy.

my relationship, however is a unique one. footbag has played a role in it, but not a large one. footbag didnt get holly to love me. footbag didnt get holly to enjoy being with me. i did that, because i was true, and myself. yeah, i can flail my legs round this here bag, but did that make her like me any more? could you believe that footbag will make you more attractive? cerealously.

good luck finding that girl that dosent footbag, but loves footbaggers.

i agree with matt, just because this thread was started with ill intent doesnt mean we cant use it as a spring board to discuss relationships and footbag, and other stuff that is worthwhile and shouldnt offend anyone.

You sound like a [Mod edit: derogatory -Moxie] chick dramatizing everything around you because of your own personal experiences that weren't even as bad as you make them out to be simply because you want to magnify them to draw more attention.

Whether or not that's true (Probably not.), that's what you sound like, and it's very annoying.

At least by my perspective, you're blowing this way the hell out of proportion, and if you find it so deathly offensive, then don't frequent the topic.

You're kicking a dead horse. If you don't like something, don't watch or participate in it, that's your right. The topic, sitting there, gaining posts isn't effecting you, unless you're pointlessly getting mad at the fact that so many people like this discussion.

I prefer to stay away from arguments but who are you to say that she is being over-dramatic or blowing it out of proportion? While it may come across as over-dramatized, you don't see it from her perspective. You can't know how it comes across to her. Everybody takes things differently. It's just the way things are. It's Holly's right to state her opinion on a topic as much as it is yours. She stated her reasons on why she didn't like this topic. If you don't agree with them, then that is fine but don't try to question her opinion.

yeah i was going to say you might as well have just finished your thought because i doubt it could be as offensive as what you said earlier in the post...

even if anyone agreed with anything you said, or any of the potentially in-offensive ideas that may be behind what you said, who would have the balls to agree with you while you're throwing down racist terms?

Psh, lol. That's not racist, atleast not compared to what's considered racist where I live.

And the frank fact is that I don't really care that everyone found that post offensive. It was my opinion, and that's the only way that I saw fit to express it. To express it any other way would've totally ruined it. I think it came across rather well.

And I don't quite see how that was just so derogatory. I mean, calling someone annoying is derogatory, but that's not sensored on this site. I think it's just because it was aimed at a girl... But who knows. I guess Moxie just picks and chooses her battles.

It was more of a fact, rather than an opinion. At the place where I educate myself, I guess that would be called a school, there's a great abundance of fat (that's a fact.) Mexican (Definant fact.) chicks (Questionable) who do nothing but dramatize anything and everything they don't like. And if anything bad happens to them in anyway, it's... the end of the world. And the simple fact of the matter is, that's what she sounded like. If she thinks that's so god damn derogatory, then maybe she shouldn't sound like it then.

Kinda like that "Who's in your "Five"?" commercial. The girl's brother had her five best friends in his top five list because they're all hot. She complained to her dad and he said, "Well maybe you should have uglier friends." A simple funny commercial with a very good point. If you don't like that fact that I said you sound like a fat Mexican chick, then maybe you shouldn't sound like one.

By the way. The portion where I said she was blowing it out of proportion, well, she kinda did. She made it sound like it was the end of the world. And it's not. And if this is how she truely veiws this topic, then she must be mentally unstable. And society doesn't conform to insanity, so why should we?

I don't know, all I did was state my opinion, with a little bit of fact in there, from MY point of veiw. From MY perspective. But then again, I guess Modified just picks and chooses when to enforce rules and when not to.

And I didn't question her opinion. I said that she was blowing it out of proportion. And she is. And as you said, I have a right ot my opinion on here too. And I stated it, so why the hell are you questioning mine?

Maybe my post was a little strong, maybe it wasn't. However, for me, it was just right. It was everything I wanted it to be. It wouldn't have expressed my thoughts properly if it had been any other way. Whether you find it offensive or not, is not the point. Because, I found her post to be offensive. Lately, I've simply been walking away from posts I don't like, something she should've just done. But I couldn't find it in myself to just let this one slide. The point, her post was stupid and uneccessary here. My post, may have been stupid and uneccessary too. But it doesn't matter. Because the point of it was to point out that her post was stupid, and uneccessary. Objective complete. All other input by anyone else is, well, irrelevant to the reason I posted what I did. I don't need to explain myself (Though i somewhat am.), or my reasoning.

But I've wasted enough time on this. Just get back to the topic, because I'm not responding to anything related to this incident anymore unless it's through PM. The topic was really good (That's right Holly, this topic, is good.), so just get back to it.

but that was flat out the most offensive post i've read on modified to date.

I wrote a huge list of points, but each point has been made already.

If we want to abstain from sending female shredders packing, we need to show some respect. let's see if we can get equal numbers of males and females in this sport we all love.

The blatent lack of moderating on this site is what keeps it so ghetto IMO. You can't just let Switch or any other flamer constantly jack the threads and drag them through the gutter.

The only work the mods actually DO is edit out cuss words, or whatever comments that seem to be upsetting them at the moment, but they never take action on the actual poster. Almost every other forum out there would never allow the endless flaming that goes on here. (Most would ban someone for the type of comments that go on daily or even hourly on this site)

The most hilarious thing is that these other forums have BUILT-IN censoring programs to at least censor the swear words, racial slurs, etc., so they can focus on actual problem-posters. But I guess if this site had that, the Mods would have NO work to do at that point. The Mods on this site love to just sit back and watch the flame wars with a bucket of popcorn, and that way they're not to blame! I honestly don't see the logic of just letting people like that continue to destroy the forum atmosphere.

The 'community' of modified never looks after itself. It just lets itself get constantly bombarded with asinine comments and complete and utter lack of respect from it's problem members. Oh well, the Mods on this site will probably never learn, and just continue to piss more and more people off and drive more people away from the 'community' they hold so dear.

As much as I blame Switch, I blame the forum controllers much more for making us put up with his crap.
