Anyway...

Who are the Bears going to put on Harrison? Even if they can minimize his contributions to the game, there's still Wayne & Clark. Although Urlacher might not match up too bad against Clark in coverage (certainly better for Urlacher than trying to cover Reggie Bush).

I would love to see the Bears win, but Peyton is going to pick the Bears Cover 2 apart. The Bears secondary might not give up the big plays and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them generate some turnovers, but it still seems pretty grim to me.

The bears should have won. They even had a good omen from the kickoff. And all those almost interceptions lol.

The Colts dominated statistically, but the Bears could have won ugly. That's their specialty, after all.

The Defense played like shit for the 2nd and 3rd quarters. But they still gave the offense a chance to win the game. Too bad Chicago's QB is fucking Rex Grossman. I say give him one more chance - next time he fumbles a snap, fire him. Which will be two games into the preseason.

I don't watch football or pretend to know anything about it, but when I watched the Superbowl yesterday (the first football game I've watched in 5 years, and the first NFL in 13 years) it was very very clear to me that the QB of the bears sucked. Like, really really sucked.

This was the most boring superbowl ever.

Peyton deserved his though.

I really don't understand the play calling on the two picks grossman threw, both were first downs after a big completion, both were thrown down feild, Why not run the football instead of have REX GROSSMAN throw up a bomb. And what happened to the smash mouth bears football that Lovie and the crew were preechin up till the game, every time the bears blitzed, the colts recievers had a 10 yard cushion.

Overall the bears D played ok their offense just couldn't stay out on the feild.

Peyton played good, I think that early pick he threw made him click into gear a little bit. I wanted the bears to win but peyton deserved it and I am glad he won.

Next years superbowl will be my San Diego Chargers vs. my Seattle Seahawks. And the hawks will win.

The Bears coach said their strategy would be run run run run. And I understand why they started throwing it, other than a few nice runs, I think they weren't getting any further just running.

I didn't have a problem with them throwing the ball down the feild, but I did have a problem with when they threw it.

Rex grossman is a little in experienced and after he threw for a big third down conversion anyone could see it going too his head, and leading to him thinking he could throw the ball in a window that wasn't there. So don't throw it down feild. After he threw that pick, on the very next drive he makes another big third down conversion, then on 1st down you run it, or throw a short pass correct, but no they decide to throw down feild again and throw another pick. They tried to trick the colts twice and it didn't work twice. This strategy would work for the colts and peyton but the bears should have played bears football, no trickery, no throwing up a prayer on 1st down when your QB is Rex Grossman.
And in the second half they were running the football a little better against the tired colts D.

Fool me 3-5 times then I must be Rex Grossman.

I made some predictions before the game. This is what i predicted:

-Cedric Benson would fumble before he got his 5th carry (came true)
-Bob Sanders would get an interception (came true)
-Grossman would get a pick returned for TD (came true)
-Colts win 30-23 (I was close, it was 29-17, although it would be almost impossible for the score to get to 30-23 from 29-17)

haha bears. What a pathetic team

I personally thought this was one ofthe most exciting superbowls. I love turnovers and huge plays, and this game had many of both of those. Dont get me wrong, i enjoy GOOD football too, but mistake prone football is exciting.

Now the question for the Bears is, will they be better or worse next year? They will probably cut Tank Johnson, lose Lance Briggs & Ian Scott to free agency... will they even be able to keep Hester, or will he demand some huge contract & get cut?

The Bears coaching staff is great at finding and building defensive talent, although I'd say that Lance Briggs is irreplaceable without a big free agent signing.

And if they have a shot at a promising QB, take him. I'm somewhat sympathetic to it being Grossman's first full season, but come on, he fumbled so many snaps all season! If he can't even get that under control this off-season, he's not good enough.

But no, the Bears will not suck. They'll win the NFC North, probably get a bye in the playoffs again, and if they make improvements at the QB position, who knows?

i didnt think this one was too bad. you cant really expect a superbowl to be a great game always or whatever because really it isnt often that the two best teams in the NFL play eachother, and even if they did their are variables you couldnt account for.
