Congrats on your first lavers john. They are the best shoes ever. Did you cut any of the toe box stitches? You may want to have someone who has lavers also show you how. And make sure not to cut the last ones or youll ruin the shoe.

I already cut the stitches. And on two of the I cut too far

. does it matter if i use superglue to fix the parts that i cut too deep?

Not sure.. I wouldn't do it without asking someone with more laver experience. Personally Ive only had one pair. hopefully someone will read this soon and get you some better answers. Good luck.
Oh and another fun thing is, experimenting with different lacing styles.

Your toe box will start to open naturally as they break in, good job on getting some lavers.

John -

If you learn your toe stalls with your foot parallel to the ground, ~6" ahead of your other foot, and with every stall landing and coming out of the box that you have there cleanly you'll have a very clean toe game. However, if you want to open your toe box up more, experiment. Unlace your shoes and pull the toe box open to what feel comfortable to you and conceptualize what lacing would be required to get the walls to stay in that configuration. There are a lot of different ways to lace shoes. Also, be aware that you can fold the wall in places to help open your box even more.

Nice shoes john, black laces make lavers look awesome.

They really bring out the shoe's style.

@pete - found em on ebay for like 30 bucks, some guy was just getting rid of em. The listing said they were gently worn, but considering the shape i got them in they might as well have been brand new.

I don't have any pics up yet but I'm gonna have to for my new casual shred shoes. They are vary special! You see i have combined an old nike tennis shoe with the "nose" of a retired pair of G6s'. They look off the hook.

Thanks man. I used an entire Sharpie for the black parts heh.

It scrapes off though so I have to touch it up regularly.

And i just got these bad boys!

i know they aren't the best for footbag, but they look so rad; i've been searching a long time for plaid and finally found these! mainly for casual kicking
