If you learn your toe stalls with your foot parallel to the ground, ~6" ahead of your other foot, and with every stall landing and coming out of the box that you have there cleanly you'll have a very clean toe game. However, if you want to open your toe box up more, experiment. Unlace your shoes and pull the toe box open to what feel comfortable to you and conceptualize what lacing would be required to get the walls to stay in that configuration. There are a lot of different ways to lace shoes. Also, be aware that you can fold the wall in places to help open your box even more.

It scrapes off though so I have to touch it up regularly.
