I competed in the finals of "edmonton's got talent" tonight @ the comicstrip. I asked for some place to warm up before my routine and they sent me into the hallway inbetween stores. The floor was covered in french fry grease and my shoes were suitably covered before I realized. I ended up having to warmup outside of the club in almost complete darkness. I warmed up the best I could then went back into the club... only to find that the act before me had covered the stage in peanut butter and jam. The peanut butter wasn't really a big deal, my shoes were already covered in grease, but the jam was a big problem because it made the floor super sticky. They made some sort of effort to "sweep" away the residue and then it was my turn to perform my routine. I finished the routine with about 6 or 7 drops. Maybe, I should have practised playing on jam beforehand. Obviously, I didn't win. I did my best given the circumstances and I think the crowd enjoyed the footbagging. I'm disappointed because I don't feel like I had a fair chance at performing my routine. I'm also annoyed because the contest took up the entire evening. It was a waste of my time.

Wow, that really sucks. Completely unfair.

Let me be ignorant like the Edmontons got talent judge, what the hell could you do that involves talent with pb+j ?

brian and i went to the arcade the other day and we got something with our tickets that made us think of you...
a drum of eediots.
its a barrel of monkeys only its ren and stimpy instead.

ps. being a mermaid must be hard! especially since youre a backwards mermaid!

pps. male mermaids are called "mermen" (sounds like mormon)

Oh snap! I love ticket arcades. It's like going to the casino for kids. I think I'm going to have to track one of those drums down.

I went to a boardgame party this weekend for my friend's birthday. I brought a barrel of monkey's and played it a couple times. We also played this other game I made up where you put both of your hands on your hips and try to get your elbow into someone else's elbow hole.

I had to be a backwards mermaid so that I could still play footbag

. I think i'm going to make that graphic into a t-shirt.

I'm going to be a merman and live in a mermansion and if anyone bothers me I'm going to mermangle them with my mermandibles.

I stole Betsy's pony today. She was riding around the prairies and I tracked her down with trusty dog Frederick. I told her I'de show her some pony tricks and she believed me. As quick as a beat she was off the pony and standing beside some tulips expectantly. I hit a backside double pony flippant and she clapped 9 times. The clapping spooked the pony and we broke into a tremendous gallop. When we hit 80 mph the pony veered sharply and trampled over Betsy. I dismounted and found Betsy's broken body some 20 fathoms to the east. Her frock was bloody and covered in dirt. I started crying. I hate to see a beautiful frock soiled in such a manner. Frederick comforted me by explaining it was her own fault for being so damn excitable. He fetched me a spade and we buried her behind some old sicamore trees. Now I'm a cowboy in the old west. My new dress is light and feathery against my body like the trepidatious beatings of my heart. My new life will be vast and expansive and who knows what adventures will stumble across my uncertain path.
