Jamie you need to understand; You believe that you know what God wants, and what the Bible says. These people are just as sure as themselves. Islamic terrorists base their same beliefs on the same idea that they know what God wants. This is the problem with faith, it does not rely on evidence, but just on how you feel about the question. You feel that what these people are doing is wrong, but they're doing it for the exact same reasons that you control your actions regarding religion on. If these people are wrong in what they're doing, it is because their core belief, that they know what God wants us to do is wrong. Carrying out their actions is only "stupid" if they are wrong about God. If they're right then it's completely the right thing to do. Islamic terrorists are at least as convinced that they know what God wants as you are and flying planes into buildings is only the wrong thing to do if they're wrong about what God wants. We have as much evidence to suggest that they are wrong as we have to suggest that you are wrong, or any other religious view is wrong. You may feel that your views are correct, but from an objective point of view, you're no more or less likely to be wrong than they are. If we are to respect your views, than we have to respect the basis behind those views, and that means we have to accept that your views are of the same footing as any other religious view.

[
quote="beenjammin"]could it be that you were planning on saying "fuck it" and leaving it to fate whether you get the STD or not, and you just wanted to see if you'd still be accepted in the community if you had sores on your wee wee?
Actually Matt I would Never say Fuck it about My Penis it is way to valuable. I am std free and I plan on keeping it that way. I know some are permanent, but which ones are treatable?[/quote]

Jeremy, you need to understand: I understand that fully and actually voiced the exact same thing you said, practically word for word, to a friend the other day in a discussion. The difference is I'm not imposing my views on you, my belief applies to myself, so I ask you to respect it.

I'm not imposing my views on you. If I feel that your views on the world are wrong, don't I have just as much right to voice that, as you have to hold your false views?

So? I think your views are wrong too. But I respect your views at least. What I think is more wrong is the fact that you can't accept not winning an argument, that you can't accept that I believe in God, and that you won't stop arguing about it. Yes I know, religion has caused a lot of bad in the world. I don't see how that affects my own believe so give it up.

Jamie, you're under no obligation to post in this topic, or even to read about it. If you have a problem with something - set an example and show us what we should do. Instead, you don't like this discussion so you keep posting in it? That doesn't make sense. Be the change you want to see.
