Outside mod
Has anyone completely or semi-cut out the outsides? IT just seem dangerous to me, but I was thinking about trying it.

Do you mean completely cutting out that area, so there is a hole..?beenjammin wrote:Has anyone completely or semi-cut out the outsides? IT just seem dangerous to me, but I was thinking about trying it.
I figured it'd be useless, because I never stalled there, one day I just felt like doing it. I found that they were alot more comfortable, and that they fit better. However, when you land poorly sometimes, you don't get the support quite as much, just more movement.
However, playing normally I didn't notice any disadvantages.

It's really quite sad that some 80-90% of the modified footbag community completely ignores the outside surface of their shoe. While I understand why this is the case (or at least I think I do), I think that overall it's limiting for the sports ultimate potential.
The solution to this problem is simple: Just tack on an extra add for the outside stall and before you know it nearly everyone will be landing them

i think outside is very underused, too.
back to topc: i did the outside on the lavers le.
surprisingly the gameplay feels ok. they get more comfortable indeed and the stability lost is way less than with the gunits because the canvas is thicker. you can do it, they get lighter as well. so all in all its not neccessary but you can do it.

Outsides and Dragons are cool, but I only know a few people who can do Anchor very well. Outside stalls are definitely underused, since they're a bit unorthodox to incorporate through basic training.
Just adding some thoughts here. I'm not arguing for anything. I rarely use outsides myself.
