I've been reading it since '99 or so. Absolutely Hilarious. I was thinking the other night about how I miss Herbert Kornfeld editorials, the "accountz receivable" guy. Jim Anchower is the shit. Also, I love the "Statshots" I have the newest one about Windows Vista hanging up in my cube. The Onion is awesome.
The other day I stumbled upon the actual onion newspaper. I thought it was just an internet thing. Its so much better in print!!! Its hilarious to sit on a park bench next to some guy in the middle of the city, and he is reading the wall street journal, and you are cracking up over headlines like "9 year subi loves his job in Ethiopia"

Yeah, there's no substitute for the real thing. I've know about the Onion on-line for years, but I've never really bothered with it. Its the printed version or its nothing. You can find it for free on many street corners in NYC. I was first introduced to it 7 or 8 years ago in Boulder and Denver, CO. It was free there too, and made the bus trip between them go very quickly. You can probably find it in Philly too, if you know where to look. I try to remember to find a copy every time I go into New York, but thats not as regular as it used to be, and I often forget. A couple years ago for our office Christmas gift exchange at work, my boss got me a one year subscription - SCORE! Their delivery was kind of screwy, though, like, I'd get two different issues one month, and then none the next.
They used to have the best movie reviews. I thought their movie reviews were just way better than any other paper I ever checked. I haven't really been following them as closely, lately, but the quality seems to have slipped a bit.

People leave all sorts of newspapers on the floor of the restroom in my dorm, and the other day somebody left a copy of the onion!
I had never read or heard of it before, so when I see a headline along the lines of "Donald Rumsfeild holding Deathly Martial Arts Tournament on remote private island" I was CAPTIVATED!
Now I look for it everyday, we get most newspapers for free here in the dorms, and love it

im pretty sure this topic is about the onion.
I love the onion. When i was about 9 i first read one. And i thought it was just UW-Madison thing. But a few years later i realized it was national. One of the stories that reallllllly sticks out in my mind is "Special Forces Ready to Deploy in Iraq" and there is a down syndrome soldier in camoflage standing in front of a short plane. It was the funniest thing i had ever seen.
Ahhh the onion. i love it
