Yearbook for Footbag 2007

Post by RawSko »

The alternative to the magazine that I thought I was going to create...

This book will include player profiles on former, current and upcoming champions of the game. It will include true stories that happen to footbaggers around the world. It will include tournament results, new tricks of the year, inductees of BAP for the year and accomplishments made for the game by people all over the globe. There will be artwork, editorials, and game/stitching plans by high-level players/stitchers.

The book will almost definately be black and white, and it will be the size of a legal sheet of paper that's folded in half. I need to use legal size paper so that it will fit in the printer. I hope to find legal sized glossy newsprint and waterproof ink to use though. This is just the start... as business grows, asthetics will improve.

It's pretty much the same deal as the magazine, just that we're calling it a yearbook and there's only one per year now... I don't plan on publishing until after worlds, if not after christmas. We need lots of articles about playing, about stitching, we need lots of profiles, interviews and we need artwork.

I'm sorry about the slight change in plans, but I still need lots of support. I think that this yearbook will wind up being even cooler than the magazine would have been anyway. I'm so friken stoked about it... PLEASE write stuff for it. ANYTHING! If you play footbag, you're a footbagger and stuff that's written by footbaggers might wind up in the yearbook. If you can think of any kind of article that you might like to write, PLEASE do so. It would be a huge help to the yearbook and to the sport.

thanks!

I'll post more soon.

that makes sense, but... How would we go about mangaing that? I can't translate it into multiple languages, and I'm not sure what you mean by "multiple versions." Please elaborate on your plan

Sweet action. So you're printing this at home... how will it be bound? I think releasing it not long after worlds makes sense. Everything goes down at worlds so we should write all the stuff about it then straight into production and into the shredders hands.

After a lot of though, I do like this. We could even make it into a yearbook format. Have a bunch of pictures of various freestylers and such... maybe have an "autograph" page. Would be a nice keepsake for all the fun of that year. Hell, I could even do player profiles for that too. Maybe have everybody fill out the questionaire thing at Worlds. I don't know exactly what all you want in it though. We'll make it happen. :D
