I like to take my time with the breaking in of a bag. I very much enjoy to see my bags go from bouncy to choice. So for me do not break them in before you sell them :)

Really? When I am finishing off my bags, i fill it completely full with poly pellets and i finger roll for 10 minutes which breaks it in completely, then pour it out and put my filler in which takes about 5 minutes.

Not the idea, only your posts daveepoo!

It'd be sweet to be able to choose 'broken in or not' on an oreder form or pm. The best/longest-lived bags I've ever owned were like rocks when I got em, and I still seek those type bags out today.

When you take orders, explain your opinions about the stitcher breaking in the bag, offer the option, charge an extra few bucks if you want, and leave it up to the buyer.

Some colors break-in fast and for some I need a little more time. Plus, you probably have got good tube and I haven't ;).

About breaking-in bag and selling. If someone wants unbroken bag from me it's no problem but I realized most people who bought Dorshbags recently wanted the broken one. Actually, since I started breaking-in bags before selling every person has wanted nice, soft and shredable bag and not a rock :).

Every bag I sell is broken in by hand a little bit. I want my bags to be very shreddable when people first kick them, but then after the customer break-in they get super-choice. IMO if I bought a bag I'd want to be able to shred it right away.

The templates I'm using now (ever since mid-September '06 and on) result in bags that require little break-in to reach their full potential. Other factors, such as facile aspects, gather, filler amount/weight, overall bag density, etc. have already been taken into account whenever I stitch my bags, to make the break-in of those bags easier in the long run. I always reason with interested buyers and/or those who want to trade what they want from me, visa versa.

Maybe I'll use the "prebreak-in" option into account during these talks, but I don't know. I'm not a big fan of it myself, and I always give a small bit of hand kneading after finishing every bag I make. It's difficult to put a value on it since I do it unintentionally.
